mailing stuff

crystal? can dogs smell this? what is the best way to go about doing it... going on vacation and want to ship a present to a friend near by

Crystal = Methamphetamine, and yes drug sniffing dogs can detect it....

Sending drugs in the mail is relatively safe. Infact, you're probably better off doing this than setting up a drug deal at a house or in a parking lot.
The United States Postal Service does not have dogs sniffing all the packages. They only sniff out suspicious packages.
And if you want to be even more careful, there's always UPS which definantly won't be checking boxes.
Two important things to know:
1) either don't put a return address or use a real one. a fake one could possibly draw suspicion.
2) make sure the package is sealed tightly and stands no chance of opening up.

WRONG! ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS put a return address on the package.. thats how normal people do things - if you're sending someone merchandise do you leave off the return address? OF COURSE NOT! Also, since this entire Anthrax thing they would almost certinly inspect a package with no return address... you MUST have a return address, and while it's probably not the BEST idea to use your address (thought it might be ok if you could figure out a way to talk yourself out of it) .. use a real address - just not yours!

Alright, but don't use an excess of tape and packing materials... thats another sign of a suspisicious package - excess tape and whatnot... just tape it as you would any package, it won't come open..
Another bit of advice -
Make sure BOTH the return address and TO address are written LARGE and CLEARLY - if you can, print them in a large font, put them on the box and secure with clear tape...

Ok say you where receiving and not sending the parcel.And the parcel contained methamphetamine (which is very rare in the UK) but you don't know the person and have never ordered from them before What would be the best way to do that? Is there some way I can get it without it being sent to my house? And if it is discovered is it an open and shut case?

You just have it sent to your own house - just have it sent with a differnt name .. once you recieve it, just leave it by your door for a few days, hell, even write "RETURN TO SENDER" on the package... if they catch you it is not an 'open and shut case', but it's also a hassel you don't want to deal with...
