First of all, hello! This is my first post here, though I've been a long time lurker (around 3-4 years) I did have an account,
but I forgot the username/password ¬_¬
I'll start by saying, one of my favourite drinks is a nice chilled shandy (beer + lemonade) I usually buy the store bought variety, one which has little to no alcohol content (0.5% or less) certainly not a level which you can gain any effects from.
So, one day, I was studying and I forgot to take my ritalin (prescribed), I snapped open the safety bottle and tapped a pill out, I headed towards the kitchen and washed the pill down with some water. After this, I continued to study and make notes before taking a break (about an hour and a half later), I was sat watching an episode of house and I remembered that I just bought some shandy! Joy! I hadn't bought it in months!
I gulped down a full pint of shandy, quenching my thirst and sating my taste!! Within 4-8 minutes I began to feel a strange sensation, one that's usually only accompanied by excessive drinking whilst still under the influence of my ADHD medication. A euphoria swathed over me, a sensation in my chest similar to that of being infatuated with another.
(To those that aren't aware, methylphenidate goes through the process of transesterification when mixed with alcohol, I believe that the ethyl drops off the alcohol and knocks off the methly, creating ethylphenidate, don't quote me though)
I had to sit down, this became more intense as each inhalation I made intensified the rush, like waves crashing against a cliff in tidal rage - I was fucking blipped.
What was interesting was that I never felt the euphoria like this as I did when I drank, usually because when I'm drinking, I usually drink A LOT, possibly camouflaging the experience.
My conclusion ; it only requires a small amount of alcohol to make this happen! I've been doing this quite often now and it's great! Want to try it? Buy some shandy!!
