Strange-Creek Campout 2005 (May 28-29)

Strange-Creek is a relatively small (just over 2000 people I think) festival in Greenfield, MA. It's organized by the Worms and anyone who's been to one of their events/festivals knows they know how to organize an amazing festival with nothing but positive vibes.

I went last year and had a blast. You pop your tent on one of many windy trails in an evergreen forest... and believe me the spirits of the forest come out at night ;)

Artist Lineup for 2005:

Max Creek
The Breakfast
Zen Tricksters
U-Melt
Percy Hill
Assembly of Dust
The Knot
Depth Quartet
Ryan Montbleau Band
Primary Others
Uncle Billy's Smokehouse
Brothers Past
Moon Boot Lover
Jiggle
Rev. Tor Band
Ed n Da Ve with T
Jounce
Rane
Shortness
Scarecrow Collection
Catfish Jam
Juggling Suns
Fungus Amungus
Black Rebels
Luck Parchen, Eric Glockler, Russ Lawton & Steve Jones
Low Dogs
Turbine
Domino Theory

Unfortunately Strangefolk isn't going to be able make it this year...

Tickets are $55-$65 depending when you grab them.

...

So anyone thinking about this one? I will definitely be there and would love to hang out with any of y'all who might be showing up.

I only recognize one band on that list. Is it all local acts?

Yep it's more of a regional festival..., however,

Max Creek, The Breakfast, Zen Tricksters, U-Melt, Assembly of Dust, and Black Rebels (and Strangefolk of course if they were able to make it) are pretty well known in the northeast. At least among that type of crowd :)

did you post this in events forum as well, if not do it :)

I feel the need to mention, it isnt always about the acts. certain festy locations bring about great vibes whether its local unknown grassroots knda shit, or big time bonnaroo kinda shit

C'mon bluelighters.

Any of you cats coming (other than BD)?

It seems very likely that ill be there.
This kind of thing is 10x better than a bonnaroo. Less ppl, nicer ppl and good music that has'nt been exploited as shit.

Who ever is coming, ill see you there.
peace

I went to Garden of Eden last summer (same people, same location), and canattest to how great it is. The atmosphere was great, the music was great even though I hadn't heard most of it before, and most of the people there were great too. I'd never seen more kind, friendly, generous and interesting people packed into one location. It was also cool to see dealers walking around the camps selling their products like hot dog vendors at a baseball game.

I probably won't be going to lack of cash unfortunately.

I hope to go. You can get tickets through jambase once the next level goes on sale may 2. It sounds awesome and hope to see some fellow bluelihgters there.

I grew up in South Deerfield, which is right next to Greenfield. I might have to make a homecoming :)

i really hope to go to this. Im going to bonnaroo two weeks after and i want to compare them. I hope i have fun at both though.

I've never been to anything like this before. I'll try to make it, but I'll have to see how my funds are doing after my trip to Canada next month.

for those who haven't been to a festival MAN you gotta go to AT LEAST one in your life. so all BL's come on!

hmm i wonder when i copied this thread to this forum it makes it look like finder started it lol
