Hello. I have been googling this for the past half hour and can't find a solid answer on how to prep morphine for injection. I have two different pills. One is the M60 ER (Morphine Sulfate extended release) pill the other is the ABG60 (Morphine Sulfate, don't see anywhere where this is extended release).
I -strictly- plan on injecting these.
My question is what is the difference in prepping these pills for injection?
From what I've read the story goes something like...
Crush pill thoroughly and drop into spoon.
Add warm water.
Push "gunk" aside.
Add more water as needed.
Filter and draw into syringe.
BUT other people say to add hot water and heat. I am almost positive it is bad to heat pills, but with the Extended Mechanism of the pill heat may be necessary.
Can anyone give me some advice on what is the CORRECT way to do this. And do both pills require the same instructions? Also the M60 is quite larger than the ABG60.
