RCs M1 - Worrisome Marquis Results.

SWIM's two lots of M1, same supplier..

First lot hit with marquis,

Second lot hit with marquis,

This lots contained 3 crystal forms,
Large transparent crystal (left)
Large yellow crystal (right)
Small uniform crystal resembling previous M1. (produced same reaction as Large transparent not the same as previous M1)

Supplier assures they're the same compound...

Further testing with other reagents to continue when they arrive...

Any thoughts on these worrisome results?

The Marquis for methylone should be yellow, not pink. I would discard the two batches that go pink.

Also we don't SWIM here.

There's no way this geezer will be touching this pink reacting stuff.

Very curious as to what it could actually be..

Been assured it's methylone by the supplier whom even states all products are tested via HPLC.

They refuse to except the fact that M1 should turn yellow.
