Lyrics that appeal to you today v.12.0

Heaven Sent :: Esthero
I came and saw you left the light on
There was no one home at all
Couldn't wait to get your clothes on
Shouldn't come around to call on you
The taste was sweet and you delivered
I didn't know I would feel so high
Well, I guess we didn't have to kill her
But don't feel so bad though
You looked her in the eye
And I watched her cry
And my mouth went dry
Everyone is going to have to die - sometime
My mouth is clean, my hands are dirty
Heaven isn't on my side
Well, if it was, then she'd have hurt me
Didn't think this through
But, I didn't have the time
To perfect my crime
I drank my wine
Everything is going to be just fine
I don't know, I don't love, (You're alone, You're alone) I don't know
Anyone like me

I'm not heaven sent
I'm not heaven sent
But I'm broken and bent

My mouth went dry
As I watched her cry
Everyone has to, gets to die
But not on my time - not on this girl's time
Fucked if it's my time (fucked if it's my time)
Not on my time (This is all fucked up)

probally my favorite song of last school year. please take the time to download this song..
oh memories......
Get up kids - out of reach
long way from home,
lost by an echo, i'd never of known
i've got pictures to prove i was there,
but you don't care
here's me overseas, across a pond by the Dover peaks
i've smuggled myself into new nationalities, you think yo'd be proud of me
there's room to believe, out of mind, out of sight, out of reach
start over is no way to begin

U2 - Beautiful Day
The heart is a bloom
Shoots up through the stony ground
There's no room
No space to rent in this town
You're out of luck
and the reason that you had to care
The traffic is stuck
And you're not moving anywhere
You thought you'd found a friend
To take you out of this place
Someone you could lend a hand
In return for grace
It's a beautiful day
Sky falls, you feel like
It's a beautiful day
Don't let it get away
You're on the road
But you've got no destination
You're in the mud
In the maze of her imagination
You love this town
Even if that doesn't ring true
You've been all over
And it's been all over you
It's a beautiful day
Don't let it get away
It's a beautiful day
Touch me
Take me to that other place
Teach me
I know I'm not a hopeless case
See the world in green and blue
See China right in front of you
See the canyons broken by cloud
See the tuna fleets clearing the sea out
See the Bedouin fires at night
See the oil fields at first light
And see the bird with a leaf in her mouth
After the flood all the colors came out
It was a beautiful day
Don't let it get away
Beautiful day
Touch me
Take me to that other place
Reach me
I know I'm not a hopeless case
What you don't have you don't need it now
What you don't know you can feel it somehow
What you don't have you don't need it now
Don't need it now
Was a beautiful day

For the boy who makes me smile and makes me feel like I can get through anything. I love you.
Thank you - Dido
My tea's gone cold, I'm wondering why I got out of bed at all
The morning rain clouds up my window and I can't see at all
And even if I could it'd all be grey, but your picture on my wall
It reminds me that it's not so bad, it's not so bad.
I drank too much last night, got bills to pay, my head just feels in pain
I missed the bus and there'll be hell today, I'm late for work again
And even if I'm there, they'll all imply that I might not last the day
And then you call me and it's not so bad, it's not so bad and
I want to thank you for giving me the best day of my life
Oh just to be with you is having the best day of my life
Push the door, I'm home at last and I'm soaking through and through
Then you handed me a towel and all I see is you
And even if my house falls down now, I wouldn't have a clue
Because you're near me and
I want to thank you for giving me the best day of my life
Oh just to be with you is having the best day of my life.

Lots of love in the air today...
I Forgot That Love Existed
-by Van Morrison

I forgot that love existed troubled in my mind.
Heartache after heartache, worried all the time.
I forgot that love existed
Then I saw the light
Everyone around me make everything alright.
Oh, oh Socrates and Plato they
Praised it to the skies.
Anyone who's ever loved
Everyone who's ever tried.
If my heart could do my thinking
And my head begin to feel
I would look upon the world anew
And know what's truely real.

"Giant steps are what you take
Walking on the moon
I hope my legs don't break
Walking on the moon
We could walk forever
Walking on the moon
We could live together
Walking on, walking on the moon
Walking back from your house
Walking on the moon
Walking back from your house
Walking on the moon
Feet they hardly touch the ground
Walking on the moon
My feet don't hardly make no sound
Walking on, walking on the moon
Some may say
I'm wishing my days awayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
No way
And if it's the price I pay
Some
Tomorrow's another day
You stay
I may as well play
Giant steps are what youuuu take
Walking on the moon
I hope my legs don't break
Walking on the moon
We could walk forever
Walking on the moon
We could be together
Walking on, walking on the moon
Some may say
I'm wishing my days away
No way
And if it's the price I pay
Some say
Tomorrow's another day
You stay
I may as well play
Keep it up"

WEEZER - Only In Dreams
You can't resist her
She's in your bones
She is your marrow
And your ride home
You can't avoid her
She's in the air
In between molecules
Of Oxygen and carbon dioxide
Only in dreams
We see what it means
Reach out our hands
Hold on to hers
But when we wake
It's all been erased
And so it seems
Only in dreams
You walk up to her
Ask her to dance
She says "hey, baby I just might take the chance"
You say "It's a good thing
That you float in the air
That way there's no way I will crush your pretty toenails into a thousand pieces."
Only in dreams.

:) a fun one......
Diesel Boy - Punk Rock Girl
One Saturday I took a walk to Zipperhead
I met a girl there and she almost knocked me dead
Punk rock girl
Please look at me
Punk rock girl
What do you see?
Let's travel round the world
Just you and me punk rock girl

I tapped her on the shoulder
And said do you have a beau?
She looked at me and smiled and said she did not know
We went on tour to Texas
And we ordered some hot tea
The waiter said no, "we only have it iced"
So we jumped up on the table and shouted anarchy
And someone played a Beach Boys song on the jukebox
It it was "California Dreamin"
So we started screamin
On such a winter's day
She took me to her parents for a Sunday meal
Her father took one look at me and he began to squeal
We went to a shopping mall
And laughed at all the shoppers
And security guards trailed us to a record store
We asked for G.G. Allin
They said he don't work here
We said if you don't got G.G. Allin then we're gonna burn your mall down!!
We got into her car away we started rollin
I said how much you pay for this
she said nothin man it's stolen

Punk rock girl
You look so wild
Punk rock girl
Let's have a child
We'll name her Minnie Pearl
Just you and me
Eat fudge banana swirl
Just you and me
We'll travel round the world
Just you and me
Punk rock girl

Helpless - Faith No More
The air is warm
I hear the wind and the trees
I know I'm there, but I'll never be
The wind is soft tonight, the tide is low
And I know the way
(I never felt better now)
Sometimes life, it moves too slow
Slows to a crawl, and then the poetry is lost
And without speed, hope becomes certainty
And for once I'm certain
(I never felt better now)
A garden is it's own perfect world
Where everything has a place
Every leaf, every stone, every speck of dirt
But where's my place?

I even tried to get arrested today
But everyone looked the other way
I count the hours, and I count the days
But for once I'm certain
Don't want your help
Don't need your help
Don't want your help
Don't need your help

Helpless
You found a way to make me say
Help me please someone
The water's clear
I see that it's full of dimes
For every wish, I wonder why
Why all I want is something beautiful
A place to rest
(I never felt better now)
HELP

Alabama 3 (A3) "You Don't Dans 2 Tekno Anymore"
Last train to mashville, girl, you've got on board
Packed up your medicines, left without a word
Now you're strung out in suburbia, waiting for that call
You just chill out by yourself behind your front door
You've lost the plot again, where you are now ain't clear
This misty morning memory, the road that took you here
The special K keeps the chills away with your needle and your spoon
Staring at the wall, sharing your skull with no-one
(chorus)
And you don't dance to techno anymore
I don't see you under the strobelight on the dancefloor
It's been a while since I saw your ultraviolet smile
You don't dance to techno anymore
"Being a loverman and a DJ, lots of girls come down the front when I'm on the ones and twos. There was this one particular girl though. She was so beautiful she used to knock my eyes out every damn time. One night she took this funny little heart shaped pill and just died right there in front of me. Now she don't dance to techno any more."
808 and the 303 ain't the friends that they used to be
You got no time for sweet 909
You said goodbye to Chicago, Detroit City, lord you let her go
And there ain't no guests at the borderline

Something has to change.
Un-deniable dilemma.
Boredom's not a burden
Anyone should bear.
Constant over stimu-lation numbs me
and I wouldn't have
It any other way.
It's not enough.
I need more.
Nothing seems to satisfy.
I don't want it.
I just need it.
To feel, to breathe, to know I'm alive.
Something kinda sad about
the way that things have come to be.
Desensitized to everything.
What became of subtlety?
How can it mean anything to me
If I really don't feel anything at all?
I'll keep digging till
I feel something.
Pinkf Floyd
Breathe
Breathe, breathe in the air
Don't be afraid to care
Leave but don't leave me
Look around and choose your own ground
Long you live and high you fly
And smiles you'll give and tears you'll cry
And all you touch and all you see
Is all your life will ever be
Run, rabbit run
Dig that hole, forget the sun
And when at last the work is done
Don't sit down it's time to dig another one
For long you live and high you fly But only if you ride the tide
And balanced on the biggest wave
You race towards an early grave

Pearl Jam - Given to fly
He could’ve tuned in, tuned in
But he tuned out
A bad time, nothing could save him
Alone in a corridor, waiting, locked out
He got up outta there, ran for hundreds of miles
He made it to the ocean, had a smoke in a tree
The wind rose up, set him down on his knee
A wave came crashing like a fist to the jaw
Delivered him wings, "Hey, look at me now"
Arms wide open with the sea as his floor
Oh, power, oh
He's.. flying
Whole…
High.. wide, oh
He floated back down 'cause he wanted to share
His key to the locks on the chains he saw everywhere
But first he was stripped and then he was stabbed
By faceless men, well, fuckers
He still stands
And he still gives his love, he just gives it away
The love he receives is the love that is saved
And sometimes is seen a strange spot in the sky
A human being that was given to fly
High.. flying
Oh, oh
High.. flying
Oh, oh
He’s…flying
Oh, oh
The Tragically Hip - Nautical Disaster
I had this dream where I relished
The fray and the screaming that filled my head all day
It was as though I'd been spit there, settled in , into a pocket
Of a lighthouse off some rocky socket,
Off the coast of France, dear
One afternoon, four thousand men died in the water here
Five hundred more were thrashing madly as parasites might in your blood
Now I was in lifeboat designed for ten and ten and only,
Anything that systematic would get you hated.
It's not a deal nor a test nor a love of something fated.
The selection was quick, the crew was picked and
those left in the water got kicked off our pant leg and we headed for home.
Then the dream ends when the phone rings
You doing alright he said it's out there ,most days and nights
But only a fool would complain
Anyway Susan if you like our conversation is as faint as the sound in my memory
As those fingernails scratching on the hull

props on stinkfist and breathe sydpinkroger. I've spent many an afternoon listening to those songs feeling very...discontent.

Beth Orton - Stars all seem to weep
Stayed true to the things I knew when I was younger
And food and love was all but left to hunger
'Cause when I stray from my truth as I grow older
Too much leaves an empty hollow hunger
I think about you on a moonlit night
And the stars all seem to weep
When there's so much to lose
There's never any time for sleep

Look at me doing all these things without you
We always laughed, and you were untrue
Where was it we tried hard not to go to?
I think that's how I finally came through
All the things we took for granted
The words still live on in my head
All the times I took for granted
All the words I never said
I think about you in the moonlit night
And the stars all seem to weep
When there's so much love to give
There's never any time for sleep, yeah.
So I stayed true to the things I knew when I was younger
And human life was all but left to hunger
'Cause when I stray from the truth as I grow older
Too much leaves an empty hollow hunger
Too much leaves an empty hollow hunger
With or without you
With or without you
With or without you

Amazing how one person can make you feel content in the middle of chaos....
Green Eyes
-by Coldplay

Honey you are a arock
Upon which I stand
And I come here to talk
I hope you understand
The green eyes
Yeah the spotlight
Shines upon you
And how could
Anybody
Deny you
I came here with a load
And it feels so much lighter
Now I met you

Honey you should know
That I could never go on
Without you
Green eyes
Honey you are the sea
Upon which I float
And I came here to talk
I think you should know
That green eyes
You're the one that I wanted to find
And anyone who tried to deny you
Must be out of their mind
Because I came here with a load
And it feels so much lighter now I met you
And honey you should know,
That I could never go on
Without you

You don't bring me flowers
You don't sing me love songs
You hardly talk to me anymore
When you come through the door
At the end of the day
I remember when
You couldn't wait to love me
Used to hate to leave me
Now after lovin' me late at night
When it's good for you
And you're feeling alright
Well you just roll over
And you turn out the light
And you don't bring me flowers anymore
It used to be so natural
To talk about forever
But 'used to be's' don't count anymore
They just lay on the floor
'Til we sweep them away
And baby, I remember
All the things you taught me
I learned how to laugh
And I learned how to cry
Well I learned how to love
Even learned how to lie
You'd think I could learn
How to tell you goodbye
'Cause you don't bring me flowers anymore
You Don't Bring Me Flowers/Neil Diamond

A Warning Sign
-also by coldplay, it's in my cd player today

A warning sign
I missed the good part then I realised
I started looking and the bubble burst
I started looking for excuses
Come on in
I've got to tell you what a state I'm in
I've got to tell you in my loudest tones
That I started looking for a warning sign
When the truth is
I miss you
Yeah the truth is
That I miss you so.
A warning sign
You came back to haunt me and I realised
That you were an island and I passed you by
When you were an island to discover
Come on in
I've got to tell you what a state I'm in
I've got to tell you in my loudest tones
That I started looking for a warning sign
When the truth is
I miss you
Yeah the truth is
That I miss you so
And I'm tired
I should not have let you go
So I crawl back into your open arms
Yes I crawl back into your open arms
And I crawl back into your open arms
Yes I crawl back into your open arms

"Fairy tales can come true, it can happen to you, if you're young at heart.
For it's hard you will find, to be narrow of mind, if you're young at heart.
You can go to extremes will impossible schemes, you can laugh when your dreams fall apart at the seams,
and life gets more exciting with each passing day, and love is either in your heart, or on it's way.
Don't you know that it's worth, every treasure on earth, to be young at heart.
For as rich as you are, it's much better by far, to be young at heart.
And if you should survive, to a hundred-and-five, look at all you'll derive, out of being alive, and here is the best part, you have a head start, if you are amoung the very young at heart.
And if you should survive, to a hundred-and-five, look at all you'll derive, out of being alive, and here is the best part, you have a head start, if you are amoung the very young at heart.
-Frank Sinatra(no one else compares)
Fairy Tales Can Come True
Ima go finish getting drizzunk and go to sleep sad again. :(

Thanks skywise. When people say that there is no good music being put out today, I think you just have to look at bands like Tool or singer/songwriters like Roger Waters who focus on issues like sexuality, religion, war, and violence to find inspiration. In today’s pop atmosphere (not that Tool isn’t pop in the sense that’s it’s appealing to a lot of people) it’s refreshing to hear lyrics that are as honest and compelling as the ones above (and below).
Roger Waters/The Post War Dream
Tell me true, tell me why was Jesus crucified
Is it for this that daddy died?
Was it for you?
Was it me?
Did I watch too much TV?
Is that a hint of accusation in your eyes
If it wasn't for the nips
Being so good at building ships
The yards would still be open on the clyde
And it can't be much fun for them
Beneath the rising sun
With all their kids committing suicide
What have we done?
Maggie, what have we done?
What have we done to england?
Should we shout?
Should we scream?
What happened to the post war dream?
Oh maggie
Maggie, what did we do?
