Misc lyrica withdrawal questions

i am on lyrica for about 10 months atm. (300-450 mg a day atm)

i had the couple of days vacation without any in my sixth month with about 450-600 mg a day.

i take 150-300mg a day and then take a rec dose of like 600mg on saturday and dont take any at all on sunday. ive been on it for like 2 weeks. i will run out early at the end of the month unless i avoid the rec doses. i just may. i seem happier on 300mg than 600mg. i dont really like not being able to walk straight and feeling foggy. i feel WAY more cognizant on lower doses. buprenorphine compliments pregabalin like a dream. its almost like shooting heroin again!

Lyrica WDs are a lot milder than benzo WDs, and that's for real, although, if you ARE TAPPERING from them, running out of any GABA inducer will feel like dying, sure. I could say the same about going out of Lamotrigine (err, that was a bad example anyway because both Lyrica and Lamotrigine are sodium channel blockers).

really!!?? That's news to me (that lamitrogine is a Ca++ blocker, too, that is); I just withdrew from lamitrogine (via a doctor's advice) about a month ago and began pregabalin as a replacement. In general, I appear to know more of the pharmacodynamics of my medication(s) than does my psychiatrist, so this is stifling [no offense intended to him/her].

I'll have to re-look up how lamitrogine works in the brain, if not for my simple understanding of how a chemical once helped reduce my anxiety and now does not. Thank you for this bit of advice!
