-EDIT- I just want to let people know that I am not saying Lyrica is a bad drug. I just want people who are thinkin of trying it for the first time to hear about my experience with it for the first time. And as IForgett has posted, I did eventually mix the Lyrica with Neurontin after the initial dose of Lyrica. It was not until that combo did I start to have the very intense effects (if I remember correctly.) After the neurontin was when I was really fucked up BTW. But before the neurontin dose, the 400mg of Lyrica I took was very intense too. -EDIT-

I am posting this because I want to give people a heads up about using Lyrica for the first time. Now this is just my exprience, and may not be true for other first time Lyrica users. Well, here is my experience.

Ok, I have never taken Lyrica before, but heard about its effects on this website. I "came across" a few and decided to give them a try. I first took 300mg. A little while later I was all fucked up and all over the place. It felt very good and it was kinda funny. So being the drug addict that I am I decided to take 100mg more of Lyrica (all I had left), along with about 1200 - 1800 neurontin to see if that would make the effects a little more intense. Well it did. I was walking into things and could not walk in a straight line if my life had depended upon it. I ended up passing out. About an hour later my dog woke me up to take him for a walk. So I got up and took him out. Again I was all over the place. I was walking into trees, bushes, and fences, and Im sure people saw me as I was mostly on a main road. Very embarassing, funny, but embarassing. It was also dangerous, as I could have stumbled onto the street and been hit by a car. When I got home I passed out again. Woke up again not much later, still felt the same, passed out again, then woke up again not much longer, with juice spilled all over me and the couch. I was very dizzy and at this point it wasnt much fun. This lasted many hours later. Im not sure how much long later, but atleast a half a day. All in all I would say being drunk and having these same effects is more pleasurable, but thats just me.

I write this just to warn people about taking Lyrica for the first time. Please don't go overboard and take a whole lot your first time taking it. My experience may be different than others' first times on it, but still I think I should tell you about it and warn you that it was very intense (on 400mg Lyrica and 1200-1800 neurontin.) And if there is anyone out there with experience on Lyrica, please let us know what a good dose to start with Lyrica is that isnt so intense.

To sum up, just be careful. And remember, Lyrica's effects last a long time. So remember that when abusing it.

I should also tell you I am on suboxone maintanance and have been taking a few or more fioricet a day, but I doubt they had much effect on this.

Had a similair situation with a friend while on gbl, swaggering across empty suburban roads however, bumping into furniture...funny stuff... so we can add a ghb/gbl+alcohol warning...you WILL get fucked

What Ill never understand is when someone takes a combination of drugs, has bad effects, and then proceeds to blame the experience on a single drug.

Im not trying to be an ass, TdogUSA, I have respect for you, but did you ever think that maybe this all happend because you mixed it with the neurontin too? Im sure its not all the neurontins fault, but thats a good dose of both drugs.

Pregabalin is similar to gabapentin in almost every respect. 400mg of pregabalin is pretty significant, so in mixing with as much as 2g gabapentin I'm not even a little bit surpised you reacted as you did. It is kind of enjoyable, though ;)

You're not being an ass, I know exactly what you mean. That is why I mentioned the neurontin too, because of the combo effect. If it seemed like I was just blaming the lyrica and thats it, Im sorry.
I have been on neurontin before though and never had those effects. And before I took any neurontin this time, I was already fucked up from the Lyrica. But I agree that the neurontin most likely had a combo effect and made the experience all the more intense, and almost scary. And it wasnt all bad, some of it was fun, and amusing. I just wanted to let people know about my experience and how I was effected by the drug(s). And Im sorry if I gave the impression tht Lyrica is a bad drug, as I am sure its not. It was just too much for me for my first time taking it.

just another little thing....

be careful, no matter what other sedatives\opioid drugs you might be prescribed, when taking these drugs.

I recently came into possesion of about 1200 mg o lyrica, and am on 90mg of methadone a day. I took 400mg, perhaps a little less, and had a great time for the first few hours.

Buuut, it kept getting me more and more intoxicated and made my coordination worse and worse.

I ended up lying down, passing out like a sorrority girl, and some friends said I had some pretty concerning depressed breathing going on.

So be careful guys, no matter what sedatives you may mix. Always start low, you can always take more.

Was this because you took marquee's horrible advice in another thread? If it was, I feel sorry for you- for a relative beginner with these drugs his suggestion was horribly, horribly misinformed and moronic.

thanks for this warning. i am in your situation exactly (down to suboxone matinence) and my opportunity to try it will be in about a week or so

I dunno, did he reccomend taking done and pregab somewhere else?

sounds like a terrible idea methinks.

But nah, I just didn't really think the two would really interact all that much. Oh well, I lived.

This is an informative thread. Although i have never taken pregabalin, I am fairly experienced with gabapentin and have never experienced the effects TdogUSA talked about, even in high doses. Generally is pregabalin more effective and/or stronger? I have heard good things about it for therapeutic use.

Never had this type of reaction to lyrica...only a few others i have talked to have. Must have been all the other bullshit you tried to combo it with. Kinda pisses me off that you say "i don't want to say lyrica is a bad drug but....." and then proceed to give 15000 fucking reasons why its bad.

I don't understand.........but thanks for telling people not to do stupid shit like mix a whole bunch of shit together....kudos.

ahhahaha
WARNING WARNING!!!!! IF YOU TAKE MULTIPLE SEDATIVES YOU WILL GET LAID STRAIGHT THE FUCK OUT
hehe (today i am on 15 llyricas, and daily suboxone and some poppy tea this evening and some kpin 2 mgs (6 mg total) and i have a script for gabapentin too. these drugs are no joke. they make yuo feel VERY FLAT if that makes any sense
but holy jesus they are euphoric. i cant decide which i like better, lyrica and neurontin are jsut TOO DIFFERENT to even compare. i love them both. (really, they dont act the same at all,and they certainly dont feel the same.)

Is euphoric the word, or is the expression "drowned in a milkiness of nothingness"?
TDog, you know better.

Miss you brother.

If I were in that situation, I personally would have told my dog to fuck off, and walk him later instead.
