I hope this isn't sourcing, since I actually got a legit script of this stuff, but I am going to be staying in thailand for a month or two and currently on 300mg of preglabin (have been for years) And, I was just wondering in pharmacy stock it in thailand, because I will be running out like half way through. I know its some expensive as sh*t in the US, so kinda curious if I can get ahold of since being in full blown WD in a foreign countries would really put a damper on my plans.

I know they have benzo's that kind of crap they sell over the counter, but if need be I will stop in a clinic and get a script if they dont sell it to me (thats even if they have it I know some things like opiates they don't even carry)
thanks

I doubt the average pharmacy will have it. And I also doubt the average pharmacy will have benzos, they are actually illegal there too. Its usually not too hard to find a few pharmacies that will sell you benzos on the sly if you speak to the right people (very dependant on where you go in thailand however).

If you are really worried just get good health/travel insurance and if its being a major issue if you go to a thai hospital to be seen by a doctor and explain you usually get that medication in the US but have run out now your on holiday they will nearly definately give you it. I went to thai hospital with an infected foot from falling off my motorbike and he recommended antibiotics. When I got them I simply said to the doctor that I was also having trouble sleeping and had a painful back and he prescribed me 30x1mg xanax and 30x30mg Zomorph morphine capsules with no questions asked :) Not cheap at all, but I claimed it back on health/travel insurance instantly when I got back.

What Zomorph? I been reading a lot about the way things work over there and I heard they barely give any cancer patients any type of good pain med. Well, morphine orally is not a good pain med, but still. You did fall off a motorbike though. And, I am suprised about the benzo's I was sure that they were easy as cake to get- maybe just not make a big fuss about it, but I heard people picking up Valium no problem. maybe im thinking about cambodia I dunno lol I have my own benzo's thank god, but if I stay over a month- look like I'm going to have to make an appointment. How much they charge you to see a doc in Thailand?

My script for those xanax, morphine and antibiotics was about 6000 baht. Which is why I HIGHLY recommend getting good health/travel insurance for your trip that you can claim back, becuase you are just about to google the conversion for that ... which is here.

Apparently even the locals were amazed at that price, and said if I had gone to a Thai hospital it would have been at least 5x cheaper. That's a trend over there, places where foriegners go are notoriously expensive, your best bet is to make thai friends and ask them to show you the places where not many tourists go and its always amazingly cheap (whether food, medicine, accomodation, ladyboys, etc).
