Lyrica (pregabalin), as well as Gabitril (tiagabine), Sabril (vigabatrin) or even Phenibut: everything that affects you through GABA is a good thing to get off benzos. And among all these GABAergic drugs, Lyrica is one of the best, and I think you can easily get off benzos with it, without any withdrawal symptom; the problem will be to get off Lyrica... (but it will be easier than to get off benzos without it...)

What about neurontin? Wouldnt that be nice with benzos?

Neurontin is a bit different (eventhough it is very similar to Lyrica, etc... chemically)
It gives you spacey effects the first time you try it at a high dose.
It doesn't feel "GABAergic" at all (no sedation, amnesia, euphoria, etc...)

It can help with anxiety, and also to get off benzos; but for these 2 purposes Lyrica/Gabitril/Sabril/etc... are much better... (but Neurontin is still good)

And when you mix it with benzos, it doesn't add anything... You just feel the benzos, nothing more...

I got an effect from Neurontin ONLY the first time I tried it, and it was a huge dose (more than 4000mg...); after that, I've never felt anything from it...

well yesterday i took 150mg with 1mg kpin in the morning and 300mg with 1mg kpin in the afternoon. When i hit a bowl of some good bud, i have never felt such an incredible feeling of relaxation. The relaxation when mixed is far superior then benzos alone and i may go as far to say that THE RELAXATION, nothing else, beats out opiates. My whole body just felt like it was glowing, my limbs were limp and i had one of those nights of sleep where you just close your eyes and it feels like you woke up 1 second later but its been almost 10 hours lol.

it's good stuff but believe me a regular daily dose, it doesn't take long before you can't feel any of it at all.

Its been over a week and I still get the same effects, and feel almost overconfident. I have started upping my subutex dosage because its so much more fun on lyrica, and i have had a couple of insane xanax evenings

Still doing great, I got the doc to upp the dose to 300mg a day, but I rarely take more than three 75mg caps.

I am having mad fun with benzo and opiate combos, everything is like new and nothing leaves hangovers anymore, heh. I did a heroin morphine(IV) mix with klonopin, mogadon and valium. NOD out. I got one hard rushes on morph, pins and needles and ringing in the ears, sitting there paralized with the needle still there.

That was a little "relapse" from my low dosages, hopefully lowering to zero, on bupe mainly. Codeine is also usefull, and I found I can take both at the same time. I take about >1mg of bupe IV'ed, with 200mg codeine through the day, most at night. I can clearly feel its effects, and it makes me nod of all things

I've desided to quit the bupe, since I feel its going to be easy on lyrica. I doubled my dose of lyrica(now 150mg x2), and have lowered my dosages of bupe, going over to codeine tomorrow. I use 50mg diazepam or similar doages of other benzos, so I don't get anything but a sour stomache.

I also dicovered klonopin was even better than xanax with lyrica, mogadon as well. I have so much benzo build up now(much long acting benzos) that I WILL fall asleep if I lay down. I'll run out now, so I won't permanently ruin my tolerance

It's a good idea to quit the Bupe, but I would prefer a Bupe addiction over a Lyrica+benzos addiction....
This combo (lyrica+benzos) will be very hard to quit, and the withdrawals will be very hard...

I got some 150's from a friend who warned me to only take 150mg, her 260lbs friend took 300mg and was "walking into walls" 8)

I took 150mg and then another 150mg...didn't space me out at all....and then I got REALLY cranky like when you rail 30-40 mg of Oxy and it wears off too quickly.

It has some interesting effects. really good relaxation. be good to sleep on...I didn't have enough to really judge...

Something about it didn't feel right though, I'd like to see it tested a bit more before I jump in. Just an instinctual thing. I take loads of Neuros...

let's not get all excited about Lyrica being the flawless Panacea: I took it for a couple weeks or more this year when my neurontin stopped working on my pain .

I took Lyrica , man I was all confident ( not groggy after third day i think) , full of energy, brave, socialble , almost like coke but not edgey and my pain was subdued better in one way but NOT another , suddenly near the end of my using it , all the antianxiety properties evaporated ( and I was NOT using recreationals for 2 months at that time, and I was fucked and then it didnt work on my pain and my dose was 100 mg three times a day. now I have months worth ff the stuff sitting here and I am back on Neurontin which is covering my skull crack nerve pain BETTER, since it hadda chance to swap out -yknow how taht works - right?
I also dont like the narrow temperature storage range of lyrica versus neurontin Lyrica keep below 77 degrees, brief periods of temps up to 86 may not damage the drug. um I spend every summer in Thailand ok?
It is 95 sometimes of course. But I admit I miss that first couple weeks on Lyrica before it "dumped" me

I use it for anxiety and relief of a sleep disorder as well. it does work relatively well. I think of it as benzos little brother. What I have been doing is alternating days ie use Lyrica for a few days and then benzos for a few days on an alternating basis.

I think this drug would be usfull in benzo withdrawl. I'm sure it potentiates benzos but coming off both combined would be worse.

It does seem to be useful in nearogenic pain syndromes as well and decreases my involuntarty movements in sleed from PLMD.

Overall seems like a quite usefull drug.

"Cycling" the compounds seems like a good idea. ~AIC

Hi there, I haven't had a computer lately, but I just got a new laptop.

I am still on the lyrica, but I am tapering the benzos to prepare properly for an upcoming detox and long term treatment(six months). I have managed to come down to just 45mg's of Sobril(oxazepam). I taper with a short acting benzo, because I have tried the valium taper with no sucsess.

I got down to a stable dose of 1mg buprenorphine, but lately the benzo taper made me up it gradually to 2,5mg's(always IV'ed). I don't mind, since the benzo wd affects me much more for much longer.

I have a month left, and I am aiming for 30mg's of oxazepam and I will switch to codeine the last week to get a shorter and harder wd. I use 450mg's of lyrica, which I will be given during the detox, that makes me a lot less worried.

I am tired of this whole shit, and I am fully decided that I'll go through with this. I will sign up for Subutex if I don't feel like I can do without at all, but I don't want to have to pick it up every god damn morning.
