Hate to Feel

Hey all. As usual, I'm running pretty low on oxycodone and I've got a week ahead of me before my next script refill. Last month my doc prescribed me Lyrica and told me to give it a try. I'm prescribed 100mg 2X daily. The first few times I took it I got pretty high. Any recommendations as to how I should use it to best curb my oxy use while I'm low and ways to maximize the feel-good for the next week?

Pregabalin is very effective at mitigating tolerance from opioids as it provides analgesia itself, and can provide you great relief in opioid withdrawals. Since we don't know your biological make-up (how the drug will affect you), no one can give you an accurate answer.

Your best bet would be to use it as directed by your physician, if those doses don't work for you, titrate up in 50 milligram doses until you feel comfortable. Make sure you leave long intervals between titrations as pregabalin can take some time to reach full effects.

Please note as well that while pregabalin maybe very effective for opioid withdrawals, it has some tolerance and dependence issues of it's own, so try not to use it longer than you need to.

Like gabapentin, pregbalin will not feel the same after so many uses.So you will probably want to refrain from using it everyday,if you want the high.

Awesome post chromo! :)

Take the medications daily as prescribed, lyrica will help oxy.

Also I suggestiong looking into and nmda antagonist, snri/ssri, and/or muscle relaxant like kratom, dxm, amiltryptamine,or Flexeril. In addition , I suggest a sedative antihistamine which will reduce nausea and the itching caused bys opiates. Most importantly, make oxycodone feel stronger which means you can get by with less oxycodone. Examples of good antihistamines: diphenhydramine ,hydroxyzine , doxylamine succinate, promethazine, flexeril, amiltryptamine, ect.. all of these drugs are common and can be bought either OTC or with a prescription
