Lyrica high

I am trying to figure out what the OD level of this stuff is. I took 600 mgs of the Lryica to kill the pain in my back since my oxycontin + oxycodone wasn't doing it's job very well today.

Right now I am pretty high. The oxy wore off hours around but the Lyrica is still in my system in a big way. I feels like I am on shrooms or LSD without the visuals.

Anyway, what is limit with Lryica?

It's too bad that I can't take this stuff at work because there is no way I can run a busy kitchen and manage 7 cooks while I am this fucked up. Lyrica killed my back pain like nothing else has before but it gets me too high. I can take 60 mgs of Oxycontin and about 6x5 mgs of oxy IR through out the day and still work like whirl wind.

This post took me 30 mins to type out so I hope it at least makes some sense.


So how much Lryica can you take? (600 mgs gets me pretty messed up since I only have a little tolerance)

It is near impossible to OD on Lyrica. You'd need to eat thousands of them and all at once, the longer you spread out your dose, the harder it is to OD. The LD50 is five numbers but forgot what it was exactly. Lyrica doesn't cause respiratory depression and it doesn't directly effect the GABA receptors. It mimics the effects of GABA-A. So never worry about OD'ing.

You took a large dose of Lyrica. If you took a lower dose you could possibly go to work and not feel so high. Maybe try 300mg, and if that's still too high then 200mg. I used to get high from 450mg when I first started it and I felt what you probably feel like. It's great. But tolerance develops pretty quick, within weeks. So keep use down. I'm on 600mg currently, been on it for over a year. Would be impossible for me to get high like that anymore. Today I took 3 grams and felt nothing but a mood lift with a little happiness.

Such a weird and wonderful drug. I can't feel the pin in my back at all. It's like the injury never happened. Even when my blood is full of Oxy I can still feel the pain it's like sort of numbs it but you know it's still there. The Lyrica cost almost exact the per month as the Oxycontin and works way better....and the high is way better. I feel like I am stoned, drunk, and high on some sort of weak psychedelic.

If it wasn't for my girlfriend and her kids being here I would really enjoy this, high and no pain at all....just have act sober and I hate doing that.

I might just tell my doctor that I don't need the Oxycontin anymore and get a stronger drug for break through pain rather than the Supeudol (thats what Roxis are call in Canada). I only pay 10% of the cost of my medication and my insurance pays the rest so neither cost a lot for me but I bet my doctor would be more than happy to stop prescribing the Oxycontin and give my a stronger IR med. For some reason my doctor believes Oxy was created by Satan.

Any ideas on what is a really strong IR medication than is as good or better than Oxy IR for break through pain?

I do think Lyrica is a weight gainer though, I have already eaten all the junk food in the house...I also don't want to smoke either. I lit one up and I was like, "Meh, this is pointless." and put it out.

Hmm...I never knew Lyrica had this effect on pain & could be used recreationally. Is this a relatively new drug?

Lyrica has been around for a few years and it is a good pain medication. It works real well on nerve pain. I am prescribed it for fibromyalgia which produces anxiety & pain. I used to not be able to move from one place to another without this really bad pain in my legs and back. Turns out its never pain and that is what Lyrica is good for. It is excellent for anxiety, especially social anxiety. I used to get real high on it but I've been on it for almost a couple years and tolerance has gone off the roof. I'd never be able to et high from it like I used to. I felt a lot of empathy and really wanted to go and talk to people. Colors were MUCH brighter and I'd get tracers.

I use neurontin, the poor man's lyrica...and yes impossible to O.D...if it wasnt i would have......so I can only imagine how much fun lyrica is....ive been on neurontin for 6 months and look back at the oxy days with no nastalgia....who needs it when i get a pinch of mdma / meth ( w/out the racy heart), weed, and benzo all in on non controlled substance......but doesent always give me the same affect, that i'm workin on...most unusual pharma drug ive used....but so shockingly wonderfull that I had to join this forum....cant believe my doc gave me this wonder drug to get me off opiates and benzos successfully and now i cant get off this cuz its too dam gooood

These new drugs im hearing about looks as if we're missing out. Lyrica & now Neurontin. Times they are a changing............%)
