Hi everyone! I'm new to posting, but not new to this site. I've seen a couple threads on Lyrica, but none that answer this question. What I'm wondering is I've been taking Lyrica on and off for about a year now. My longest break was for a few weeks last November, 2015. So, I imagine if I was going to withdraw then it would've happened in those few weeks. Also I currently do not take everyday. I'm prescribed 300mg a day. I'm female, 5'2 and 120 lbs. My question is this: if I am going to withdraw, approximately how long after I stop taking the Lyrica would it take for the withdrawal process to begin after stopping?

Welcome to the site :)

I would imagine that like most drugs you would start to feel withdrawals pretty quickly - within a day or so. If your not using every day then why not just taper for a week? Drop your dose by 50 or 100mgs one day and see if that has any impact on you, if it doesn't then drop again next week, then again the week after until your not using at all.

There are a few older threads here and here - give them a read and see if they help.

Thank you for your reply. I do not want to quit because they do help. I just do not want to experience withdrawal. I'm going to lose my insurance soon and just would like peace of mind that I will not withdraw after 3/4 days or so. I know with some drugs the withdrawals do not come on till later.

I really don't know about the withdrawals you would be better off asking in those threads or asking in the other drug section. If your going to have to stop after losing your insurance then start a taper - even if stopping doesn't give you withdrawals it's still easier on you as you will gradually get used to the pain again.
