would be kinda funny if there was a perc commercial.. and thats not even that bad. even harder drugs like opana or dilaudid type commercials would be good, so I dont see why not since Lyrica can have one.

soon enough when weed is legal maybe we'll see some weed commercials.

The Belsomra ads make me laugh, with the furry word creatures the insomniac sees. I joked "if you stay awake on that drug, I'm sure you'll see those creatures!" (if suvorexant is anything like z-drugs, anyway)

Haha, thought the same thing about the Belsomra commercial..I want to try it lol.

And that lyrica commercial always makes me wish I had it. Not fucking fair

I would love to know how belsomra works. I am an insomniac and I currently take benzos to sleep. I wonder if this is less habit forming, and may work a little better.

A commercial for lyrica? As on TV? What country is that in? I'm in Ireland and we have nothing like that here!

this is in the US; I dont take Lyrica but I have before; I do take 2100-2800 of Gabapentin a day, which is Lyricas younger brother.. or I guess you can say older brother but Lyrica is much better.

I've taken Belsomra;I was scripted; this along w/ all other sleeping pills at different times. my fav. sleeping pill when it comes to actual sleep and not being fucked up is seroqeul; I knos its used for many more things but at 100MG it knocks me the fuck out; everything else just makes me feel like shit next morning or doesnt put me ot bed. I had some whacky times w/ Ambien; crashed a car in my own driveway w/o remembering and other whacky shit; I wish I NEVER GOT THOSE.. same w/ Besomra - which is why I like seroquel, it just knocks me out and I wake up fine. benzos do too but im all set w/ those.. .again!

From a UK perspective, having adverts for drugs like Lyrica seems really crazy. Lyrica is an amazing high, but the rebound anxiety and withdrawals are fucking horrible.

I like seroquel too, but I have hep c...and for some reason it was raising my liver enzymes to a crazy level. I take benzos to sleep now, and I wish I could go back to seroquel.

If someone posts some experience reports for Besomra, I'll try it. It had better beat Ambien in some way.
Rachella666, the us is full of stupid drug commercials. It seems like certain tv stations are only on the air because of them.
When a commercial says something like you may trip if you stay up on this medication, or side effects include hallucinations, it's worth trying, but at the same time I don't want to fuck with a part of my brain that's probably fine just because someone discovered something about it effecting sleep.

Speed King, I'm still bewildered as to why a drug like this is advertised on TV, I'm on 400mg of lyrica and it does absolutely nothing at all, should be advertised as a farce lol xxx

Yep, when my MRI came back showing nerve issues I asked the Doc about Lyrica because I see the commercials all time and that it helps nerve pain. I never even heard of lyrica prior to the commercials and getting it prescribed. Jokes on them though I don't have heath insurance and I make under the income requirement so mine never cost me anything.

risk of suicide may occur; alcohol may increase these risks, ha.

I love these script commercials.

pain relief ones should say.. "risk of heroin addiction may occur".

What I find funny is the commercial they say those who have had a drug or alcohol problem may be more likely to abuse lyrica. They may of just said hey this drug gets you high!

If you think you get drugs advertised to you a lot on tv, just think about what you get bombarded with at a doctors office. Generally every pen you touch, every clipboard you use, everywhere you look there is a pamphlet for some drug...all the posters of hearts and livers and whatnot are all branded with drugs...basically a sales rep comes from a company to "court" doctors into prescribing new meds for you...Chances are you wouldn't be on the meds you are now if it wasn't for some sales rep giving a doctor free office supplies and a classy dinner.
