Lyrica. Help (Urgent)

Hi!
I need A LOT of help here.
After less than a year of taking 1200mg of Lyrica/Pregabalin (when needed, which was like 4 days a week and endure WD on weekends) to fight my treatment-resistant Anxiety Disorder (doctors can't pin a diagnosis yet, after 5 years), it stopped working about a week ago.
No matter what combinations I try, if I split my dose, increase it, decrease it, take it with NSAID's (naproxen), carbonated beverages, or whatever, it just won't work.
It's kind of urgent since my college tests are coming and GAD is getting the best of me.
PD. Benzos (even exotic ones), Buspar, Tetracyclics, Tryciclics, SSRI's (5), a SNRI, antipsychotics, Gabapentin (no matter how dose or tips I try), 5 pdocs and 3 therapists haven't helped. Only Lyrica. And now, it's gone...

Please help me, at least this week until I can see my pdoc (5th one, which I predict, will only switch me to another med, as he does everytime I see him).

Regards.

I just checked it, it's for pain =s, Thanks anyway!
I've tried Gabapentin up to 4200mg or so (can't remember but it was <4000mg) and did nothing, I tried every tip they gave me in the forum to no avail =( BTW I'ts extremely cheap
Finding nothing gives me even more anxiety =s

Regards!

Not getting the same effects from Lyrica comes to many people who are aware of the drug's effect on them. Honestly, is it really surprising for an anxiety med that gives pleasurable effects? The positives never seem to last forever...

I am NOT a doctor, but I want to think I have read where some are trying tramadol, in small doses, as an off label med for some of those type disorders. But I would not self medicate with it and would in fact run it by my doctor and see what he thinks or can find out concerning the off label use. With the immediate SSRI/SNRI actions it has it may be something to ask your doctor about.

Thanks for the comments, really appreciated.
Especially now, I've been feeling down all the past week and today had a rough day.

I don't know if the effects of Lyrica have dissapeared because I got used to them, since the physical effects (tingling in the skin, tact enhanced, pain perception reduced) have gone too.

Any other suggestions, comments really appreciated.

Regards.

You could always talk to your doc on dosing.
You may need to have a GABA augmenting med, to keep your GABA at a constant level.

I'm taking gabatril.

Have you tried Baclofen? It works on Gaba-B receptors, I don't reccomend this but Alcohol is good for my GAD amigo, I'm also scripted Lyrica off-label for social anxiety and to treat opioid addiction....but well you're in Latin America, our Docs are doctrinated to be dumb Euro-thinking anachronic medically and in their world vision, I found a good psychiatrist after loads of visits, and Buenos Aires is the cirty with more psychatrists per capita in the world....all full of shit, Basically I've been treating my disease finding empathetic pdocs and telling them what I need and why I think I need that....es una mierda ser un adicto ansioso opiomano south of the border!!! Lyrica tolerance skyrockets to the point it isn't working for my nerve pain anymore...though I'm not scripted it for that, I started bupe patches recently and they've been working great for Social Anxiety...but it's a bitch down here, study the mexican laws regarding addiction and treatment and fight for your rights (if you have any)... of course it'll take years, but for example the Argie Health ministry now covers a good share of my naltrexone (which I stockpile) cause it's for a chronic disease, Mexico being a more liberal country should have better laws...Down here if you prove tou consumed Morphine for a year straight the state should put you on methadone treatment and pay for it, thing is they lock you up first at a rehab place and give you like 5mg of methadone and taper you down.....find a good Pdoc, and do the research on your own......I worked on the medical field down here and I can assure you that the chemists and even the people at data entry and thenurses knew more and were way more empathetic with the patients than the fucking doctors....Universities down here are still anachronic Marxist holes that suck what little soul is left in the persons and turns them into useful idiots who know jackshit, but will have to save your life one day.....I can't believe my cousin is a doctor, he's a total jackass, and he's a doctor...from the public Uni which is supposed to be difficult, and private unis are a joke, you can buy a diploma....I sorta did that, yeah Latin America....Latins don't like introverts nor people with anxiety and chronic diseases (not only addictions, I'm talking more serious issues like permanent diseases in the spinal tap, morbid obesity, and whatever you can think of)...Learn by yourself and manipulate the docs, estamos asi!!!! No creo q en Mexico sea MUCHO mejor....pero algo mejor q aca ahora si :) suerte

Eits! qe roio mi amigo! no conocia a nadie qe hablara español =D!
Todaaa la razon
And I just took a 4 days break from lyrica, so I was in hell and couldn't answer, but finally it worked, at least a little, never like the first time, but I'll keep looking.
Thanks for the comments compadres!

Regards!

Ketamine sounds interesting, but I know and have tried nothing other than benzos and Lyrica.
About the Tramadol, it seems to alleviate my anxiety and make me drowsy, which almost causes problems last friday when I was driving my girl, her friend and a friend of mine. I had to fight to stay awake. Plus:
the reduction of seizure threshold could be attributed to tramadol's putative inhibition of GABA-A receptors at high doses
According to the wikipedia.
Overall, what do you think?
Thanks in advance!
Regards

PS. Gabapentin is shit and it does seem to work in any way, staggering, having a snack, an aleve or whatever.

Thanks for your suggestion Jay! Unfortenately I would have to order gabitril as it's not available locally.
It sounds really interesting though, is it an ireversible inhibitor of GABA reuptake?

Thanks in advance!
Regards!
