lyrica and weed

hey sorry if this has been asked before, but you guys seem pretty knowledgeable on these matters so heres my question.


Is it safe to mix weed and lyrica on a regular basis? I have a chronic pain type disorder and even though the lyrica is helping somewhat i want to smoke weed again. Im thinking also i may ask my doctor for dilaudid again... can you take that with lyrica?

Lyrica/pregabalin and weed should be fine, except you run the risk of ending up over-sedated.. I'd take it steady the first time you try, just in case it doesn't work for you, but there's nothing glaringly wrong with that mix!

As for Dilaudid/hydromorphone - the pregabalin will potentiate it so please be careful, you may well need a lower dose - I would discuss this with your doctor, they should know - make sure they are aware of all the meds you are on

Thanks for the reply. ill talk to my doc. I was a serious junkie before when i was in my teens, and dont want to go through that again/ just throw shit into me body without thinking about the risks. Ill prob just forget about the hydromorphone all together. I didnt realize the lyrica would make it stronger. Thanks again for the advice.
