Lurker finally taking the plunge!

Hi all. I am a mid-30's Austinite who is very much against the United States' insane war on drugs and appreciate the opportunity this forum gives to discuss drugs in a shame free environment.

Personally, I feel the need to get out of my own head space about once a week and I try to do so responsibly and as safely as possible. Being a dad and a husband, I do have some anxiety over this and I'd love to chat with other people in similar circumstances.

My drug of choice is opiates if I can get them but more often than not I'm stuck with alcohol.

I am also a huge nerd.
