Hey all BL's!

I've lurked this wonderful site for years... about 99% has been in drug section of the forum 8).... But I can't wait to finally become a part of the community!

Let me start with some history:

Diagnosed with ADHD when I was 13 years old--- prescribed Kapvay (Clonidine Hydrochloride) 0.1mg
The Kapvay worked well, but I found I was still having trouble focusing in class which is when I was prescribed Concerta (methylphenidate) ER 27mg.
The Concerta lasted me through high school.

I came down with GAD at the age of 16. Terrible thing to go through, being anxious about every little thing that happens in an ordinary day.
Prescribed Xanax (Alprazolam) 0.25mg to start... worked my way up to 1mg daily by senior year (18 years old).



Had no idea what to post, seemed it was worth putting it out there as my first post.
I also have a pretty decent understanding of how my medications and a few other drugs (Cannabis, LSD, Ecstasy, MDMA, Cocaine, etc.) effect the body.

I cannot stress enough how excited I am to expand my knowledge on this wonderful site! Thanks for reading and feel free to correct me on anything!:)

Thank you for sharing a bit of your history. I heard about Clonidine being prescribed for ADHD and have been curious as to its effects on the symptoms experienced. I took Ritalin in my youth.

Hi and welcome. My husband takes Aderall for his ADHD and he has anxiety as well. He was prescribed Klonipin for the anxiety but says as long as his ADHD is under control, he doesn't really have the anxiety as bad. I was just curious if it was the same for you? Do you feel like your ADHD is the precipitating factor of your anxiety?
 
The ADHD is a big contributing factor to my anxiety in my case. When not on clonodine I find myself very anxious and almost aggressive. Kinda strange, not sure if any one else feels the same when missing a dose.

Welcome to Bluelight!! Oh, alprazolam, how I need you. Haha.

Actually I take clonzepam for my anxiety, which is GAD (also PTSD and depression, but who's counting) related as well. Trying my best to stay at .5 mg though, I hate risking going through major withdrawals, ugh.

Tried other meds, obviously, but nothing but benzos ever even touches my anxiety!
