last morning i went up early to find my mother drinking coffe. so i sat down and talked to her. I feel very close to her and i can say almost anything. and then she sais that i should wait shes gotta ask me one thing and she comes up with 2 grams of wead. and asks if it was my. i said i dont know and smelled on it. then she smelled on it and handed it back to me. i said it was mine and then she more or less didnt seem to bring that subject up again. and now im woundering why did she do that. she isnt a stupid person. i really want to tell her about what i do (i dont do weed it was my friends) and try to make her accept it. but why didnt she say anything? now i am really confused. what do you think about this do you think she know what it is, how is she thinking, should i tell her?
sorry about the bad grammar and spelling

"tell her what i do"
You didn't really specify what you do. I am assuming you meant drugs. Either way you shouldn't tell her things like that, if she loves you it will only hurt her to know that your snorting an 8-ball a day, or a couple lines on the weekend. Just keep things like that away from her for your own good and your mothers.

Same thing happened to my little brother.
He still lives at home (age 19, extreme slacker, has part time job, no school) with my parents. They found a large chronic nugget along with two glass pipes in his laundry.
Of course, one of those glass pipes might have been his older brother's, and he might have also gotten the nugget from his older brother as well -- but probably not, because we all know drugs are bad.
Anyhow, they pulled the same trick. Sat him down, asked if it was his, and gave it back to him. (BTW, for any of you wondering, he didn't turn his older brother in). Then he got the same lecture I got when I left the house.
Throughout our lives, my little brother and I worked under the assumption that my parents were as pure as driven snow. They claimed to have never touched drugs, only drank to excess once, virgins when they were married, etc., etc., etc. When I left the house, my father told me the truth:
My mother had done every drug known to man short of MDMA (slightly ahead of her time). She had fairly high connections, so she got to play with anything she liked at a fairly reasonable price.
My father dealt drugs through college. LSD was his specialty, but he got busted on intent charges for marijuana, plea bargained down to a misdemeanor possession w/probation.
It was an interesting lecture when I got it (right before I moved out and right after having finally admitted to having "tried" ecstacy ["tried once" being slang for "just coming off a 2 month binge because it was losing the magic"]) and probably a little more interesting for my little brother, who got it while he had a nugget burning a hole through his hand.
For what it's worth, although my father and I sometimes discuss drugs (he was interested in how MDMA worked versus LSD in particular) and I use a "harm reduction" stance for all the knowledge I have, it's *never* discussed that I still to this day use drugs.
I compare it to an episode of "Will and Grace" I saw once, where one of Will's lovers couldn't tell his dad that he was gay. As a result, his family *knew*, but they wouldn't talk about it.
I'm not gay, I just use drugs. Same dealie though.

I guess what I'm getting at:
1) It's highly likely that your mother has smoked marijuana before. Very few people who lived through her era can make the claim that they haven't.
2) While your mother may not be cool with it, she probably respects your privacy enough to not bring it up with you.
3) Until you know where she stands on "harder drugs" (I'm not sure what exactly you use if you *don't* use weed), I wouldn't bring up your other use. Marijuana's almost accepted as "harmless" where as MDMA is being demonized as the next crack cocaine and oxycodone is super-synthetic heroin for the new generation. Try watching one of those news specials on drug use with her instead of going out one night. Feel her out on this one.
My family operates on a "don't ask, don't tell" sort of basis. I feel bad about it, but I *can't* expect my parents to be ok with my continued use.
However, you could get lucky: my best friend told his mother that he does LSD on a regular basis without a problem. She's aware that he does it, and apparently is cool with it if he feels it helps him.
You could get *real* lucky -- she might have better weed than your friends.

when iw as 15 my parents did the same thing.
and now my mother smokes weed with me.
the thing is, when you are 15, your parents are being very protective of you. don't bring it up again unless they ask.. take care of yourself and hide your shit a little bit better.. as much as they are concerned, as long as you are responsible with your drugs, what they don't know won't hurt them, or you.. just be careful and DONT fuck up.. with the shit at home and while you are out smoking too, be reponsible.. telling them what you do at this age might create more problems than solve them. however, if they sit you down and do talk to you, or want you to talk to them, be open wiht them, the more honest you are towards their questions the more they are going to learn to trust you and your instincts.. also.. listen to your parents. i dont mean to sound like an ass, but when you are that young you can be susceptible to many things (including bad spelling, hehe)..
while you're this young, also, do some reading. read up on the things you want to try... i suggest waiting on the psychadelic trip until you're a bit older..

hehe.. thats where i want to come smoking marihuana with my mother

. And i would absolutley tell her IF i was doing allright and i say i am but not on all the things (the drugs is no prob). But im about to change and study more bla bla bla. And if i am doing allright i would tell her (only my mother) and i will say that i have taken every drug known to man but i have only stayed with a few. Marihuana, rolls, trips and that they help me and ask if she wants to try :P
thanks for the help/fun reading

well Victor, I see you've posted over 100 times in this group, so I assume you are not so naive in the way of drugs. And I have to agree that you have a kewl mom who just told you she's there for you if you want to talk about it, it's up to you.

Life is a Near Death Experience

LOL when i was 15 i didn't do drugs by choice i really think that ppl should be patient and wait till their body's are more developed so that they can handle them better (which is what i did)
When i was 18 i caught my mom stoned once funniest thing i ever saw. She hasn't hasselsed me about drugs since and knows that i'll be responsible enough to not fuck myself up.
Course me and my friends could be chemists if we wanted to
