LSD World Sheet (opinion)

Hi, I am a Psytrance fanatic, and did LSD for the first time last night. It was my friend's birthday and I had not planned on it, it came down to the point where I flipped a coin and ended up trying LSD based on chance.

Here is my question, I would like your opinion; I need help with this subject matter. I enjoyed my first LSD experience, it was in a garage with 4 people I did not know but became friends with; and my friend (it was her birthday.) This Halloween I am debating attending a massive Halloween event, and am considering doing acid again; this time without her (she will be somewhere else) and am considering going off alone and venturing out by my self and appreciating what this rave has to offer. (sound, lighting, people.)

what is your experience, if any with doing acid alone/venturing off into a crowd of unknown people?

Personally I almost always end up wandering off alone (well, losing whoever I was with) at a big event on acid. Seems to be a pretty common experience - so easy to lose track of people when you're distracted by so many pretty things :D

I'd say it mostly depends on how comfortable and familiar you are with the acid headspace and also the type of event you are at. If you've tripped a lot then you're less likely to freak at the unfamiliar surroundings and lack of familiar faces and just go with the flow, I'd think. Also, some events are just too shady to be comfortable tripping alone at but I'd tend to avoid such events anyway.

Don't know whereabouts you are in the world by Psytrance events in the UK are famously tripper-friendly and there's always plenty of folk wandering about in a hazy daze so you'll generally be in good company :D

I also wander off and talk to new people when Im at events , it's so much fun. LSd takes away every last bit of my social anxiety. Ive met some of my best friends randomly on acid trips. I'm also a very energetic person when Im tripping sometimes so walking about helps relive some of that tension.

I would try and take a small to moderate dose in public , like 1 or three nice tabs

Anything higher I usually save for solo trips under the stars :)

I live in Los angeles, I do not want to name the event of this party; but it has been known to be associated with some shady individuals. Thats how it is at any big event though...If all else fails out in the general admission land. I do have a cabana package waiting for me, where I can relax. But i would like to see what the bigger arenas have to offer me.

I think I am fairly comfortable with the acid head-space, I am naturally a thinker; all I do is think about things. When I started to trip, I knew right away and was comfortable with it. (probably because I do have some experience with mushrooms) I hope all goes well, I wasn't planning on this but that seems to be working well for me so far, not planning things.

PS. I have heard that when you fry, you tend to forever see life in a different outlook. Although I am still semi-frying; I don't think it'll have this effect on me. Have you guys felt this way after first trying acid?

PSS. I haven't rolled in 3 months or so, do you think that kandi flipping (ACID + E) would be too much of a shock to me? (for my 2nd time) Is the effect synergistic? and Will I need more acid than I originally took my first time if I did it again, 1 week later? Or should I dose the same amount.?

thank you guys for your responses, they have helped imensely!

I'd say the worst thing for tripping in public is when you have no way of getting away from an area if you start to feel uncomfortable so having the option of multiple arenas goes in your favour. I almost always end up in the chill-out area at these kinda things cos they're great for random conversations (and free bumps of ket :D) and I find the big, busy areas a bit confusing sometimes. Can be overwhelming but depends on the dose and the individual, of course.

Whether acid changes your outlook on life forever or not is debatable, but I'd say it frequently does. Sometimes takes that one magical +3 (or +4 if you're really lucky) experience to do it though and they aren't necessarily the first. I find it's more of a gradual effect that builds up the more you trip, personally.

Candyflips synergise incredibly well but probably best to use a lower dose of each - especially if you're not too familiar with acid and been on a break from MDMA. It's generally best to get a feel for them both separately or together at a lowish dose before diving in with the big doses cos it can get intense 8o

After a week you should have no acid tolerance left so no need to worry about that. Check out the Candyflip Thread for all your candyflipping needs :)

Nice! Thank you man, that was a lot of help. I have very familiar with MDMA/MDA/MDEA, I am just a one time user of LSD so was wondering how it may go. Hopefully euphoric. ^_^

What about working while kandyflipping? I may want to promote at the end of the night, and hand flyers out for a future rave. Any thoughts on this?

Unless it's a really low-dose candyflip you won't be in any state to be working. Handing out flyers may be feasible but you may just end up discussing the mysteries of the moon with them rather than handing them out :D

Also, I'd think it's fairly hard for a candyflip not to be euphoric cos the MDMA kinda pushes it that way. It can definitely get confusing which could cause some distress though - especially with higher doses.

I would advise against it, in my experience tripping on something like acid in public / at a party or something in that category is better done after having gotten the substance more intimately.
So try it in a controlled environment many more times before switching to an uncontrolled environment. It takes a good while to understand what makes its effects only unpredictable at first while there is actually good reason for the workings. Its the same reason some trips can feel like bad trips without much experience but with experience you see the mechanism behind it transcending the distinction good/bad trip.

My advice is to be careful of the dose...

I once got some "acid" off of a FOAF in the club who was tripping so hard he could barely understand what I was trying to say to him... he told me I would only need one... but I figured everyone says that... it's a sales tactic and bought two.

I was tripping so hard I couldn't see in front of me... I couldn't tell what was real and what wasn't... I would be walking and suddenly start dancing because I felt the music and immediately after forgot how to dance and had to ask someone to show me. I'm lucky I had planned to have a sober driver for the evening as I spent probably close to 10-12 hours tripping... I literally told my friend that I had lost my mind and he could check me into the state hospital I had lost it so badly.

I am very experienced with psychedelics, but this experience was very intense... but I managed it. I think it may have actually been DOC on that blotter as it was VERY bitter... and I usually come down from LSD about 6 hours after dosing... sometimes 8.

I guess my point is be sure you know your source and the strength of the "acid" and the fact that it is LSD. I enjoyed myself for the most part (for what I understood for a massive event).

Good luck to you. :D

lol @ asking someone to teach you how to dance.

I think I will just take one tab, or drop. and see where that takes me, if I feel that I can control it then I will end up candyflipping. I plan on getting it from a reliable source, a close friend; but you never know.

lol.. it happened every like 10 minutes that I would forget and look around really confused and not really be able to see very well due to INTENSE visuals... and I'd have to ask again.. usually it was one of my friends that were in the area.. but it was a massive event, so I'm sure I asked a lot of people that I was out stomping with how to stomp. :P

Crazy, crazy night. like... 1-2 hits and a tab or two should do you okay.... just don't do anything super ridiculous. :P
