LSD with a Colostomy?

Hello all. Swim currently has a colostomy following a botched surgery and is about 1.5 months away from reversal (hopefully). Swim has randomly come some LSD and is itching to try some, but doesn't want to screw things up. Swim is also taking antidepressants to deal with the fact that he has to poop in a bag. Has experienced fungi before and is a frequent smoker. Swim would be in a good setting with experienced friend and wonderful wife. Is this a horrible idea or is Swim OK?

Sincerely,
a noob to the forum.

TL;DR taking LSD with a colostomy, yes or no?

Probably won't do anything since you're on anti-depressants, sorry mate.

SSRIs I assume?

Yeah SSRI's typically work on the same receptors and interfere with the effects unfortunately.

Actually LSD can and does work if you are on an SSRI and you can trip just as hard if you on an SSRI as if you are not on one.

OP, we don't SWIM here as everyone knows it's you. I would wait until after the reversal/surgery as it's only 1.5 months. Just keep it in the freezer until you're over the reversal surgery.

Acid farts are bad enough with a whole colon. I would hate to experience them with a bag attached to my rectum.

I'd wait or at least video the results for amusement purposes. Mind, not yours obviously. ;)

It would be a unique experience I imagine. This is something I have used to justify tripping while ill. It may provide insight, reflection, I don't know. Its all up to you, and what mind you make here and there.
Personally, I have a hard time eating, in general, and feel generally insecure about what enters my body. Taking LSD and everything lately has been rare due to this in part, of not feeling 100%... But sometimes it works magic. The anxiety might show a great release within the experience, to positive outlook.

i dont think there would be anything inherently wrong with taking it it just seems like its not the best of times really. you are not that far off from the reversal surgery... if i were you id just wait.
or dose really low. but since we dont know what antidepressants you are on i think there is a chance a low dose might not work at all...

not to mention the complications and unpleasant thoughts that would come should anything happen to the colostomy bag while tripping (such as it breaking or becoming unstuck)...

just doenst seem like the right moment imho

Wait, you're being given antidepressants for coping with the surgery? Surely that's not the only reason, or else that just sounds very wrong. Anyway, I'd wait until you feel completely well. No need to hurry.
