Keep in mind that LSD doesn't have a linear dose-response - in fact, it has a relatively low dosage ceiling. 250 mcg may be twice as "intense" as 125 mcg, and 500 mcg may be significantly more intense than 250 mcg, but the jump from 500 mcg to 1000 mcg seems to be far less dramatic. And, as PsychaStevic said, the experience has such an intense headspace that you are completely blown away and may no longer be able to mentally express thoughts like "should I be worried about that"? Sure, the vasoconstriction is probably still there, but you've pretty much already reached the ceiling for those, so the dose increase to constrict your blood vessels any further is rising exponentially.
Compare that to things like NBOMe's, DOx's, 5-MeO-AMT or 2C-T-X, where the relative dosage equivalent of a "thumbprint" (~50 mg of an NBOMe, ~150 mg of a DOx) could easily kill you, or at least cost you a literal arm and a leg without proper medical treatment..
