So in the past couple years I have experimented with a few various psychedelics and have only tried LSD once which has left me the most awed. LSD is such an amazing substance because it literally takes you into the unknown. The most magical part of this drug is the revelations you can have on this drug and after trying it. I believe LSD lets us leave reality and lets us explore existence. My question is what revelations have you experienced? My first and only time, I experienced telepathy. :) Purely mind blowing. Also whats your take on flashbacks? I believe flashbacks are just revelations you have in your daily life that take you back to that way of thinking......only if i could on to that thought and what it meant in reality...

"Were the eye not sunny,
It could never behold the sun;
If the power of the mind were not in matter,
How could matter disturb the mind." - goethe

I have not used it very often, but my experience with LSD has given me a much clearer idea of what my purpose is, and the ability to accept that rather than deny it. It's good stuff :)

I find mushrooms give me more of the emotional/spiritual revelations, acid is more of a "zone" an enhanced train of thought and an artistic surreal look to everything.

I haven't been dosing high enough with the LSD to get the truer to anecdote "spiritual" or full on experiential revelations but it does leave me with an unrivaled clean *lil* crazy head space that I can do a lot with, out of body experiences, hilarious unforgettable times with friends. the experiences are still very powerful and moving but seem to lack the context that explanation that mushrooms can give to me. The LSD trip is more one of perception...

It may have had to do with me taking mushrooms first and more often in higher doses, gotta eat more tabs!

well recently i heard of a young man who took acid and realized "that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves." You know thinking back that was a weird news report ;)

pretty much this is what i felt after the first time i did acid

Great quote, thanks.... though I have NO idea what he means by the "were the eye not sunny" part.... the second 2 lines are a brilliant summary of the ideas on the nature of Consciousness espoused by Philosopher/Author/Professor David Chalmers, which may be of special interest to people with experience of and interest in psychedelics:
