[LSD subthread] - Set & Setting Considerations

^Yeah - these days I just seem to see impossibly fabulous detailed landscapes in the sky as well as the ubiquitous breathing walls cushions/surfaces in general. Pyramids & things from Egyptian/ central/south american cultures seem a very common theme amongst people - BUT not me - why is this ?

Listen to Tool brother

I cant support this enough, Tool is absolute bliss while tripping.

Favourite songs would have to be:
Forty Six and Two
Jambi
Lateralus
Vicarious

but really any Tool is just amazing so long as you dont freak out, unlikely if you're in a good headspace.

Enjoy =D

Dropping acid when snowing

Has anybody done acid in the snow? How is it?

This will be my first winter with access to acid and I am really looking forward to it.

I live in south Florida, i can't give you a first hand experience on the matter. But i'd imagine it be fun. Wear sunglasses as the reflection from the sun will be intense. and bundle up good cause you dont want to be caught getting a cold or anything from not wearing the right clothes

Have fun, have a snowball fight, make a snowman, go sledding. Enjoy yourself :)

this will be my first winter with access to LSD as well and I can't wait. Ive heard that it looks like everything is covered in plastic wrap. I definetely trip for the first snowfall this year :)

snow falling on acid was one of the most beautiful things i've ever seen in my entire life. i can't even describe it.

enjoy yourself.

I've gone sledding and skiing tripping while it snowed, as well as just on walks. It's all great. The highlight for me is the sensation I get from watching a field of white glittering points as deep as the sky falling in synchrony. It's better a night, and if there's little or no wind, as the snow blows around too fast to track the patterns otherwise. I also enjoy places where there are towering lights beaming down, or lit stretches of distance like quiet empty lots, the edge of a lake within a city, a walk bridge over the darkness of a still flowing river, or a long straight trail through a park. Pay attention to the swirls at the meetings of walls, and the tiny rivulets that flow though spaces between bricks. Watch the surface of freshly fallen snow as you walk. You'll see networks of brilliant little blue sparks emerge from the thousands of random reflections blinking at you as you pass.

You don't get a cold from being cold, you get a cold from coming into contact with the virus that causes a cold, like from somebody coughing who has a cold.
Sorry, don't mean to nitpick but my grandmother used to say the same thing and I never got a cold when outside by myself in a T-shirt.

On topic though, I'm going to OKC, OK in about 2 months and supposedly it's pretty cold there in the winter, I'm really going there to chill and trip with a good friend of mine all week, obviously there will be a fair amount of outdoor tripping so I hope we get some snow to build forts and have snowball fights, it's great. Especially building forts out of snow, used to do that as a kid when the snow plows made like the 20 foot tall snow banks, just dig a tunnel and then make a little room on the inside, blazing in an igloo is the shiznit.

Haha, my first acid trip was in the snow-covered woods. Took off my jacket and didn't get cold at all. But what's wonderful is staring at the bright white for hours then going somewhere where there is color.

i hate tripping in the winter, i get lots of bad vibrations.. being cold and having all the tree's around brown and leafless isn't that awe inspiring to me. i'd much rather be laying in the hot summer sun on cid

Snow trips are the shit. You will need to be outside (the childlike urge to go play in the snow is irresistable), so propper layering of clothing is esential. Snowtubing can be about the most fun you can have;) Thermacare heatwraps are great to keep your core temp up if you plan on spending an extended period outdoors.

Then again, I grew up in northern wisconsin so I'm not adverse to the cold...

I once went sledding on a couple of clean blotters

it was a great experience , riding down the hills while peaking was wild

I hope you enjoy yourself :D

I've never even seen snow. The first time I ever go somewhere where it snows, I'll be sure to take some acid. I Imagine that will be fun as hell.

Seems like acid in the snow is just as awesome as I hoped. I think the visuals and patterns from all the white will be amazing. I will probably hit up the mountain and maybe do some back country skiing on a low dose. I can't wait!
