Me and my two best friends dropped 2 hits of white perforated blotters each and then went for a walk. It was a nice cool summer night, but after a long walk, we got back to our small apartment. By then we were about 1.5 hours in and tripping real hard.

As soon as we walked into the apartment, we were hit by a wall of heat. I remembered we had purposely turned off the AC, and actually turned on the heat to make us trip way harder. The change from the cool outside air to the warm stuffy air immediately changed the whole tone of the trip. Outside, everything seemed light and airy, kinda quiet, and very little stimulus to hamper our thoughts. But inside it was like there was a heaviness, and there were so many things going on all at once. I turned on SSX 3 (PS2) for myself and one buddy, while the other sat in the kitchen that was like 5 feet away. This is where things got kinda crazy.

I got up and turned on the oven to make a pizza because for some reason I thought I was hungry. The oven made it even hotter, being only 5 feet away from the living room, and the whole atmosphere was extremely intense. I told my one friend that it seemed like a circus, and it did with all the lights and crazy mix of music and heat and weird lighting in our apartment. We had these crazy creme walls, the ceiling was not that high, and our living room/kitchen area was so small that it would seem like the walls were bending in on you, and with all the crazy lights and noises going on everything seemed way closer and louder than it was. Coherent thought was nearly impossible.

Eventually we stopped interacting and all kind of drifted off into our own little worlds. Ocassionally I would look at my friends and you could see that they weren't even there anymore. They had the blankest, far away looks I have ever seen. As I was waiting for the pizza to cook, gradually I began thinking to myself, I'm losing control, I'm losing control, I'm losing control. Just over and over, in a rhythmic pattern. It was so strange because acid makes it damn hard for me to follow a train of thought for more than 10 seconds, and with everything going on, I couldn't even begin to think. So it seemed very strange that I could pick up this one thread, and follow it too, because it went on for several minutes.

I began to freak out a little so I decided to get up and move around and check the pizza. Well, the pizza was done, so I started to take it out and all of the sudden, at that exact moment in time, with my hands halfway in an oven to retrieve a pizza pie, I heard someone say, "and I take the pizza out of the oven." I stopped dead in my movements, then looked at my two friends, and they were no longer off in their own worlds because they were staring at me with the same exact stunned look I had on my face.

It turns out that when we first walked into the apartment my one friend had turned on the stereo that was in the kitchen and we had been listening to Dan Bell's Blip Blurp Bleep, which I had never heard before. Apparently, at one point on the record, and this was the exact same point I took the pizza out, a voice says something about taking a pizza out of the oven. It's the only vocal on that particular track.

We all had a good laugh, I mean, a GOOD laugh and I finished taking the pizza out of the oven. It kinda alleviated some of the freaking out that had been going on, and I felt way more comfortable. A moment later, my one buddy said something about how before we started laughing he felt like he was losing control, and now he felt way better now. I said I had felt the exact same thing, that I was losing control, and after a quick discussion, it turns out that the previous track, the track that had been playing while we were all sitting around, it had vocals, and they repeated over and over again, saying "I'm loing control."

Before these two incidents I hadn't even realized there was music playing becase we had so overloaded our input with stuff in the apartment that I couldn't pick it up. Also, it's pretty minimal stuff, so it got relegated to the background anyway.

I guess this was something that would have tripped us out regardless, but we were tripping so hard it blew our minds.

Eating the pizza was an adventure as well, but not worth writing about=D

LOL. Yeah acid is like that. Makes you so sensative to outside stimuli, and it incoprorates it inside your trip.

Dude that heat idea is stupid.. do you want to die? Sometimes LSD paper's aren't LSD, and DOB overdoses and heat don't mix, and ewven if it is LSD, I've had some serious sweating and heat issues on acid, I lived ofcourse, but during some times I was about to pass out or something worse it felt like.

Be sweeet if you could edit yuor thread and add some more detail or hilights of the night, just to make the report a little more detailed.

Thanks for the advice. I added some details.

As for the heat thing, it's not as bad as you think. It would be equivalent to tripping on a warm summer afternoon. We didn't blast it or anything, but it made the walls move (not that they needed help:)) Besides, I like the heat, and I have since moved to Arizona for just that reason.

If you do decide to try it, the key is to have someplace that is very cool to go if it gets too hot. It was midnight, so it was like 55-60 degress outside, which is where we went after about an hour.

I think he was just trying to say that if you get really fucked up, you wont even notice yourself getting overheated and that you need to get some fresh air. Infact if you don't notice your sweating, you may not even notice a temperature rise in your body at all other then a headache.

hahahaha that's a great story... glad that your freaking out period ended on such a classic note - that would have been outstandingly hillarious to have been there... =D

that is gross. the purposeful overheating that is. you miss out on all the fun of tripper outfits (well, costumes) when it's too hot to move.

What do you mean by costumes? I've never heard that term in reference to tripping before.

the same old costume word means back then what it means now

cos·tume Pronunciation Key (kstm, -tym)
n.

1. A style of dress, including garments, accessories, and hairstyle, especially as characteristic of a particular country, period, or people.
2. An outfit or a disguise worn on Mardi Gras, Halloween, or similar occasions.
3. A set of clothes appropriate for a particular occasion or season.

it's just wearing a special outfit, 'costume' isn't thinking that much outside the box. it's nice to put effort into a trip by dressing differently, particularly in large groups.
