A hit is not a clear measure of dosage, it could be strong or weak. Check the beginners faq for an estimation of the chance on potency. That is, unless you have friends who can vouch for the potency.
That said, I would not start higher than with 1 hit, but a half hit might be on the conservative side. The more secure you can feel about your set and setting, the more likely it is that even an unexpectedly strong first trip will still be manageable.

And as far as potency goes, the source we got it from said they started out with 2 hits, and they just got the "breathing" effects, and walked around the city which they said was beautiful. Then re-dosed on another 2.

I do want to look into a mirror just to see my pupils. I love when my pupils get like saucers on MDMA. It's like a sure sign the drug is working it's magic.

Sounds like 50-75 ug per hit or something, not more really. It's not too bad.

I recommend you try the acid at least a bunch of times before candyflipping. It's regularly awesome indeed but nothing to fool around with. Besides, LSD by itself is incredible so there should be no reason skipping over that looking for more.
