I am prescribed seroquel and xanax and am planning on taking acid for the first time this weekend i have a few questions. Should i not take my med the day of doing it cause i heard these drug can lessen the affects? or should i be ok cause i have a tolerance to them.

I definately wouldnt take the seroquel or the xanax. The seroquel would probaly negate the acid and the xans would dull it.

Dont take either of those meds on the day you wanna trip , they will ruin it

If you are physically dependent on xanax, then take your normal xanax dosage. If you're not physically dependent, then definitely skip the xanax (and the seroquel) the day that you trip.
Seroquel has a half life of 5 days I think. i used to take it, and xanax, oddly. xanax has no half life. I would skip the seroquel a few days before the trip, unless you really need it. Seroquel really dulls the aeffect of the trip. Also, I might recommend having one or 2 of them with you. Since its your first time on acid, you dont know how you will react, especially if you're going to be off your meds. Seroquel will stop a trip, or severely lessen the effects if you take it on the L. So if you have a bad trip, pop it. I have a friend who had bad trips his first few times on shrooms because he was always afraid of them before hand. But when he tripped with a seroquel as safety, everything was fine, because he didn't fear the bad trip. its good for set.

Of course xanax has a half life. If its a compound that your body can metabolize, it has to have a half life (time required for half of the material to be metabolized).
The half-life of alprazolam (xanax) is 11.2 hours if I remember correctly.

Yeah, if you don't physically HAVE to take your meds.. skip em. You can use the xanax like 10hrs afterwards to come down and go to bed. But definitely skip the seroquel

In my personal experience, I have not had any troubles in the past tripping on LSD while prescribed Seroquel. No loss of potency. The Xanax would probably mitigate any effects.
To what degree does xanax affect the effects of LSD or any other psychedelic btw? During most of my AMT experiences I had taken phenazepam (dif benzo) a few hours prior and I'm just wondering how much influence that had on my trips. Thanks

Def don't take them that day but since its a first trip for you and you have the supply have a xan handy just incase you incounter a bad trip that is to over whelming, it will mellow it and then smoke a bowl from there and youl be back in acid land.

when you guys say the seroquel and or the xanax will diminish/negate/lessen the effects of the lsd, does that mean it would be as if he were to take a smaller dose of lsd or none even? OR does it mean they will cause negative type effects on the overal "feeling"/experience/trip, such as makeing it less enjoyable or causeing a 'bad trip' or something of that nature?
and..
if the first is true, then could he just take, say a double dose or whatever to push beyond the negating effects of his meds (this would be easier and more plausible if he'd done lsd before and knew what amount was right for him and all... i'm just wondering for conversation sake..)
