LSD/skunk - first time - Getting down with the CID…..
Purpose/goal: spiritual and a self-discovering voyage
Setting: Alone in my chill-out room, ingestion at 22:00
Dose: 2 Tasmanian devil tabs (LSD) and marijuana
The Experience:
I dosed my first tab at 22:00 and waited for the effects to take hold. I sat there wondering about the nature of this particular chemical, as this was my very first time with LSD.
I felt somewhat floaty and light; it was very different to a mushroom come-up as it took a fair while for the first prominent effects to take hold. After the first 40minutes I decided I wanted another tab so I ate one: “done now, and there is nothing you can do about it!”
It was an hour and a half into the experience when I noticed my perception of objects and space had become extremely distorted and not normal. It wasn’t until I smoked a spliff that I knew I was tripping pretty hard. I felt charged with so much energy, this was such a cool feeling as if the energy ran through every nerve in my body; the energy had this extraordinary electrical twinge.
The marijuana really kicked the trip into gear and I was soon dumbfounded with the spatial and temporal distortion. Unlike a mushroom trip my vision had become super-pixilated and a white fuzziness was very prominent. With acid the visuals were so intricate and deep and had the most exquisite patterning.
I was watching a Tim Leary DVD and it seemed to fit quite well as in it a lot about the LSD experience is described, this helped ground me in knowing what I had taken and what was about to unfold.
By now about two hours into the trip I wasn’t too sure about what was going on; and I desperately needed the toilet. Being slightly paranoid due to the fact my parents were sleeping in the same house I voyaged downstairs in an attempt to go to the bathroom. My hallway had no lights on; nevertheless, I ventured into the dark cavern. The acid tantalized my fear and paranoid delusions, my body felt disorientated and lost and I immediately left to go back to the comfort of my room. I went back upstairs and this is where I began to severely loose touch with reality: I tried to backtrack through my mind about what I had done. This is where the acid really fucked with my head as trying to recollect the previous course of events was very hard and I wondered what it was exactly what I had done: as I really had no idea about what was going on.
I switched off the Leary DVD and began listening to some music: I had some Juno Reactor, Shpongle, Enigma, Hallucinogen, GMS, Infected Mushroom, Pink Floyd and Delerium set up into a play list. The music wasn’t music though it was a complete integral part of the experience: there was no such thing as music at this point. I noticed my perception was riddled with many stages, there were layers, and sub-layers, waves, and everything became a distorted rendition of sober thought. Lights made awesome tracers and thought to myself that this drug would be most ultimate in combination with Ecstasy; as this point I started raving a little to the psy-trance playing and realized everything seemed almost “candy” like.
My perception of things was so unreal, although mushrooms have shown me what psychedelics are like nothing could have prepared for the window of thought and vision the LSD opened up. Shifting to different states of awareness was almost scarily easy; it was about three hours into the experience now and I thought I had gone mad. I had forgot about even taking the LSD until I noticed the parched feeling in my mouth: “this is why they call it ACID!” My bundle of perceptions was ever so profound and even though I felt like I was missing half of what LSD has to offer, this experience was far-out and deeply enlightening.
I started to make a start on my second spliff; however, I got merely halfway through it and thought I really should let my mind calm down a little as the experience was getting fairly challenging. It wasn’t as challenging as my 50g fresh mushie trip alone but it certainly offered an element of difficulty about it. I went back downstairs, as I really needed the toilet; going through the dark hallway was a complete disorientation: my body disappeared into nothingness until I reached the light of the bathroom. I came back to the kitchen and thought about the complete loss of reality encountered in the dark, it was truly mind-blowing. I looked at myself in the mirror and my lips seemed to be sort of peeling; they certainly felt very dry and parched.
Back in my room I made an effort to finish my joint but remained defeated. My mind was filled with the most awesome thoughts. On the walls of my room as I gazed up I saw dripping purple and blue that formed into faces on either wall, this was mesmerizing. The pattering I saw on that trip was so intricate; the visuals clearly had a very different quality to them as opposed to mushrooms.
The trip had calmed down now although I was still gripped into the experience. Acid is not nearly as forgiving as shrooms; its duration makes the experience a lot more drawn out, this is rather a good quality although towards the end I just wanted to sleep: as my mind was terribly tired I figured that it was in this stage that people take drugs such as valium to make a peaceful sleep.
I can’t begin to make sense of this experience as it seemed so totally out of body and game reality. It wasn’t until about 11:00 the next morning I managed to fall asleep, as I closed my eyes fast-thoughts and the deepest perceptual disturbances occurred, in this way the Acid was very long lasting.
I loved LSD, sometimes I find mushrooms a bit too short lasting and I think LSD is the cure for this. I can’t wait to see its further potentials as I think I had only touched the 5meter line of a 100meter race of what this chemical has to offer.
When I awoke the next day I felt great maybe a bit drained but great. I tried to use this experience to open some doors inside myself and I feel it certainly worked although I MUST work on my meditation as I felt great spiritual properties with this trip.
PEACE and thanks for reading
