LSD interaction?

Hey,

I was prescribed Voltaren Rapid in pill form (Diclofenac Potassium) for pain, heard some bad reviews about the stuff like increased risk of stroke but I was assured that it was only for people "at risk" and also take dexies daily, would it be okay if I take some LSD with them?

I can't think of any possible contraindications.

I've taken these together before - I take a lot of Diclofenac for my slipped discs and i've taken just about every pscychedelic there is on them.

That's the beauty LSD. Its damn hard to find dangerous combonations. Although some drugs greatly decrease the effects of Lsd, volteran certainly wont effect it in and possitve or negative ways.

Your increase risk of stroke will not change with the addition of LSD, nor should you worry about the risks of stoke from diclofenac unless like you said, "if your at RISK"

I can think of a few. Lithium reportedly can cause a confused fugue state or seizures with LSD. Don't know how though. Damn I want to get off lithium. Also ergoloids in general are often strong CYP3A4 substrates and inhibitors, meaning LSD may make some drugs stronger/longer. Also read it may interact with other ergoloids somehow.

I can confirm that, it totally sucks. As an experienced tripper, I certainly did not expect anything to be even remotely as terrifying or difficult as that experience. Definitely up at the top of my list of the shittiest things to ever have happen. Pretty sure I was experiencing part of the death process. Not the crappy "I think I might be dying" bad trip type; but the actual "This is definitely what dying is, I really fucking hope I pull out of this" type.

Thank goodness for the seizure, else I probably would have had a heart attack.

Currently prescribed meds:

Lithium 900mg
Lamictal 400mg

I've been dying to try LSD for a long time, but in doing my research (thank god for the internet) I kept coming upon the huge warnings about interactions with Lithium. I hadn't heard of any issues with Lamictal + LSD, so I took the strategy of letting the Li run its way out of my body for 3 days prior to my trip. I kept taking the Lamictal.

Took 350ug of acid last night and I'm happy to say that I survived and had a "normal" trip. I had the same level of intensity as the 2 friends who dosed the same as me did.

Be careful out there. I can't even imagine how horrible it would be to suffer serious physical trauma while your mind is in the LSD state.

Oh and I strongly advise against doing what I did if you're truly bipolar (bipolar 1 specifically). I really noticed no difference in my mood the 3 days I stopped taking the Lithium. I personally think I'm more unipolar vs bipolar. I couldn't tolerate SSRIs or SNRIs so my doc started me on this bipolar cocktail and its seems to work quite well as a mood lifter. A few years back I decided to stop taking both meds cold turkey. In about a week I was a hopeless depressed wreck.
