LSD Hangover Irritability

So very often after dropping Lucy, I tend to get this really useless irritability over me, I wake up and feel really frustrated over a lot of things, like I just want punch something or yell at whatever pisses me off, like a dark shadow of irritability lies above me.
I`ve had it before, and it disappears after only 1 day, but right now, I have that lump of irritation in my stomach. :|
Anyone else experienced this?

I`ve noticed that bigger doses tend to not produce this irritability the next day, while lower dosages do?

I guess the next thing is that you need to learn to diffuse aggression.

LSD will, like mushrooms and aya, present you with personal issues - in that way these are teacher substances. you can use the lessons or not.

Light dosing lets you go to the edge more often, and if you come back from the edge with anger/irritability, then this is a great opportunity to overcome that fault, i.e to transcend your self: basically overcome the kneejerk reflex to be angry using something you find at the edge (when affected by the teacher substance) such as a lingering sense of space, time-dilation, trails, combined resonances, or just the awe of interrelationships.

by putting the substance to work in this way it really is good medicine - otherwise you are coming back empty handed.

^ good advice, I think.

Yes, I too have been a grumpy bastard after tripping on acid.
To be honest I'd be more likely to put it down to being overtired + comedown residual drug effects (as I used to trip all night and as the trip was winding down, the next day would be underway). Weird feeling, not always good; but sometimes an afterglow. This seemed to depend on my general physical health at the time (something i become acutely aware of on the tail-end of a trip).

Unlike something like a stimulant, this counter-rhythm to my normal sleep patterns makes me prefer to trip early (possibly in the morning) to allow for natural sleep once the trip has worn off.

Have you tried day-tripping OP? This may be another thing to consider experimenting with.
I find that psychs with shorter durations of action are still great at night - and preferable - at night time (I'm looking at you, 4-sub tryptamines; in the night time - that's the right time).
LSD is a whole day kinda thing for me these days though.

I find this too but it's just because I'm tired from staying up all night. Trip during the day and see how a decent sleep will affect your mood the next day

I don`t think it has much to do with my aggression, we are talking about 25-50uG doses. Im pretty fine I pretty sure :P
AAMOF only when I trip daily, while the sun is still shining, I feel grumpy the next day, when I do it overnight, thus being awake more than 48 hours I feel refreshed the next time I wake up from sleep. The opposite :?
Yes it may be due to being overtired and as you said residual drug effects.
Though I do have an impression that it may have something to do with the disturbed brain chemicals.

Some people get bitter and self loathing after trips. In my experience it can be noticeable up to a week in extreme circumstances. When I trip regularly(about once a week) my body builds up a tolerance to this after effect. Over time I learned to change my eating and drinking habits so that my diet includes fewer synthetic additives and the bitter self loathing after effect is nearly non-existent relative to before.

In varying degrees many psychedelics are potent anti-inflammatory drugs. I extrapolate this is the root of the diuretic effect many experience when they trip.
My personal observations have led me to the conclusion that most classical psychedelics invoke a physical sympathetic nervous system response similar to fear causing the body to reduce non-essential energy expenditures during the experience such as digesting food. This means that during the trip your body is fueling itself with and processing energy stores similar to fasting.
Both the anti-inflammatory/diuretic effect and fasting effect increase the concentration of some chemicals in the blood. If a person has a diet filled with synthetic chemicals like many people in the western world all of those chemicals being forced into circulation might make them feel bitter and self loathing.

YOU MIGHT TRY DRINKING DISTILLED WATER WHILE YOU TRIP TO REDUCE THIS. I HAVE FOUND ANTI-CHOLINERGICS REDUCE THE BITTER SELF LOATHING FEELING TEMPORARILY. DIPHENHYDRAMINE IS A REASONABLY SAFE OVER THE COUNTER OPTION.

If you have access to benztropine it has fewer side effects. Benztropine is RX only in the United States.

True I do pee a lot :P
I might try drinking more water if you really aren`t joking, I haven`t got any access to benztropine :(
Tee irritability is more or less over now though the irritability itself irritated me, because I get all ridiculous about trifle things.
Ill try the water thing though, normal water, not distilled though.

Not sure if this is a psychological or biochemical thing, but it appears that not everyone suffers from the same kind of after effects with LSD. I tend to feel tense physically on the comedown and quite worn down, but I don't have any negative mental effects. What my dad reported was feeling as if everything is grey tone and murky, as opposed to wonderful and colored like during the trip.

Another thing to mention is that I think that with MDMA a large part of the hangover comes down to expectations. If you are prepared to feel a little subpar for a week or two it can apparently be fine but if you make a big deal out of it, it can be so much worse. So even though there is certainly an explanation for withdrawal symptoms, acute hangover issues may be more psychological than you think... learn to manage your expectations and train to be more accepting.

this seems to be a sporadic thing with me, last time which was yesterday I had no irritability as an after effect, which is good :)
I guess a causality, or maybe not :?
