Hi Guys,

I know there are a lot of topics on the internet, but they mostly focus on inexperienced users who don't take much drugs, I also have limited options but need to know its potential effects anyway.

I am a 30 year old married guy who is working from home nowadays. I am currently living in an another country where my social circle is relatively small. My wife hates drugs, she only used marijuana two times. I have to do this alone, despite of the fact that my wife knows it. (And I don't have any friends who can join me) I'll do it while she is at work. So I don't have much options at this point in terms of doing it socially.

I have done a lot of drugs, however it is really hard to find LSD in my home country. I used a lot of mdma, a lot of cocaine, a lot. I used mescaline, and every other thing you may think of. And not even once, tens or hundreds of times depending on the substance.

So, I think I can say I am an experienced user, BUT I have never done LSD so it is a bit unknown for me although I know all of its effects, how long it lasts etc etc. I don't think I am going to be surprised in terms of its effects, but it is still an unknown substance for my body.

I know my bad trips, what triggers them. Although I had bad trips in the past (real bad trips), nothing serious has happened as I am very confident about controlling my trips. I can always pull myself to the reality and say this is bullshit, now you have to change your subject, this is going no where etc, and I am successful enough on this.

However, I read a lot of stories or trips about people who end up really bad, who goes outside naked etc. I wonder what is the chance of having these kind of trips. I am all ok for a bad trip which I can manage, but I wonder what is the chance of finding myself in a situation which embrasses me or my wife, or even harms me physically because of not having a control of my behaviours.

I'll take only one hit for the first time. Do you think these stories are a bit exaggerated or overdose stories? Or is there a chance of having real bad trips which I can not manage even if I am an experienced user, and know my weak points.

Thanks,

If you can handle things like mescaline, mushrooms, 2c-x etc, you can handle LSD no problem, it's not any more "evil" than any other drug.

Just keep in mind it lasts a fairly long time, and doses on paper can be hard to tell.

Sounds like you're used to your mind being altered, and to keeping your thoughts in line. You're smart to consider the possibility of a bad trip, and to start with a low dose. If your one "hit" is about 100 ug or less than 200, you should have no problem controlling yourself. On such a dose I once took a bag of laundry down the street to a laundromat and washed it (on foot, no driving!).

Rest easy, put on some nice music, and enjoy seeing the world as it really is!

The following are my own opinions and anecdotal experiences:

Taking low doses of LSD alone at home can be perfectly enjoyable. Just relax on the couch and enjoy your decorations like never before! Doing it with friends is fun too, but I find that when everyone's frying it can be hard to have any kind of a conversation anyway ;). At higher doses, I would strongly recommend having someone sober and trustworthy with you for company.

What do I mean higher dose? Standard dose for me is 2 "hits" or about 200 ug. I'm male and about 145 lb and I always leave plenty of time between trips to keep them special. That's low enough that I always feel in control, but strong enough that I've never felt I need to try 3. On the same dose (200 ug), during a rave, my girlfriend once lost control of herself entirely, so much that I had to hide her inside my friend's car, cover her mouth to keep her from screaming, and hold her legs to keep her from kicking out the windows. I should stress that she was not having a bad trip. She remembered the whole thing, and never expressed any fear or anxiety about it. Granted, afterwards she was a little embarrassed, but she enjoyed herself perfectly fine during the ordeal. She's barely over 5 feet tall and gets wasted after drinking just one beer or shot.

My point is, "high dose" and "low dose" are pretty subjective, and you'll have to (carefully!) figure them out for yourself (again though, taking just one "hit" is pretty safe in general).

There are a lot of exaggerated stories about LSD, but that's because it's powerful stuff, and if you're irresponsible it may punish you. If you treat it with respect (which you seem to be doing well!), it will reward you with many wonderful hours of transcendental bliss.

Thanks guys.

Yes I know it lasts long time, mescaline also lasts long time, so I am used to it. (though LSD lasts longer I guess).

Thanks for the comforting words. Yes, I'll be really careful about the dose. Hope I'll be ok and come back to write a beautiful trip report :)

i think you ll be fine. enjoy your first trip and come back to tell the story, even if it doesnt seem like much at first. the first tries are always the most magical ones

I took it about two hours ago.

Wow! WOW!

this is not going to be a trip report as I don't think I can write something meaningful.

one thing is obvious. when there is a good wave coming towards you, surf on it. it is incredibly something enjoyable.

Some people compare it to mescaline but I think the feelings are very different, although on some level you can have similar perceptions.

Mescaline is more organic, but this is not something good or bad, just organic.

this is more industrial, yet it proves something industrial can be just organic.

i don't think i can continue writing.

Thumbs up man, glad you enjoyed yourself!

this is more industrial, yet it proves something industrial can be just organic.

Very good insight, IME a lot of people see LSD as having a synthetic/artificial/metallic feel to it.
