hi =]

this is my first report, i've been meaning to write it for awhile now.

me (22, male) and my good friend, C (21, male), (he's family to me) have had all sorts of adventures together. we've traveled all over the world, both shroomed, done mescaline, x, and a handful of other things, but never acid. we have been meaning to try acid for awhile now and some finally came across his path (while we were at school in the northeast) and he got 2 hits, just one for each of us for our first time. just plain white blotter.

so we go home to his sweet house in the ojai valley in california for christmas break (this past january). if you guys don't know the ojai valley it's this amazingly beautiful little gem of a town, it feels like a fairy town, hahah.

his house is tucked in at the top of a hill in the back of the valley and nestled in an organic orange orchard. his mother is an artist who does "juxtapozy" type art (if you know the magazine), really neat and unique stuff, so the house is covered in her artwork. his pop's has a phd and is really cool and he has a little brother, bout 8 or 9 years old, aptly named sunny; a giggling ball of energy and happiness. i consider them all family, they've been so good and loving to me over the years.

so we told his folks we were gonna do some cid the next morning and they were cool with that. we woke up around 9:30 had a nice breakfast with the family and then dosed around 12:30. i spent my time on the way up playing piano and wondering what this was gonna be like. his folks and brother went into town for errands and basically just to give us some space to enjoy our experience.

around 1:00 or so i start feeling the adrenaline/anxiousness that i get when i shroom. i try to chill my mind out by going outside (it was the ONLY nice weather day for the entire 2 weeks i was there, haha) and enjoying the weather. my buddy and me put on some scrappy clothes so we could be outside and not worry about getting messy, haha...so we're sitting on the front porch and omg clouds. we decide we might as well go for a walk around the orchard/hills. the clouds are ridiculous, they look like metallic brush strokes across the sky, shimmering from the sunlight.

it's 1:45 now and im pretty much flying high =]. we make our way down to a creek and hang out under this bridge listening to the water for awhile...his mom had done some cool art down there that we had never seen before. it was a painting of an angel on the support of the bridge and there was written "here" in a heart...that made us feel really fuzzy hahaha. so we're pretty much enjoying nature. the sound of the water was so dominating and intense it was crazy to experience. it caused something in me, that felt very primal, to kick in...a sort of "ok cy, be cautious now, don't do anything stupid by the water" haha. so we make our way back up the hill, the trees and road are all breathing heavily. when we make our way to the bottom of the hill and up out of the trees and look up at the little valley/hills where the orchard is we both experienced the same thing at this point...we could feel the earth heaving, almost birthing all the nature through this part of the hills. it was such fertile ground and had rivers and streams and lush trees everywhere.

so it's like 2:45 now and we make our way up this footpath that the workers used to pick the oranges. we take it to the top of the orchard and we're looking at these trees. naturally grown, organic orange trees, just bent over and HEAVING with beautiful oranges. so we grab a handful each and are just so amazed at how much nature has given us and how it sustains us. the oranges were ridiculous. so juicy, they went everywhere when we bit into them hahah. we were cracking up about how sticky we were when out of no where, a bird is just hauling ass right at me. this part was crazy, hahah...it broke it's stride (if you could call it that) like RIGHT next to my ear and everything slowed down and i could hear the flapping of it's wings in slow motion...it sounded like a helicopter was flying out of my ear and it felt like it took 5 seconds. it probably all happened in less than a second, but what an amazing thing to experience on your first cid trip!

3:45...we decide that sprinting all the way down the orchard to his house would be a fun idea....so i haul off full speed down the hill through the orchard and break left to sit by this resevoir. im sitting eating an orange by myself when a few minutes later, after i had forgotton about my buddy, i hear his footsteps and him flying down the hill laughing at like 100 mph and he passes right by me like some sort of deer or gazelle or something, hahaha...

4:30ish ... still tripping pretty darn hard, i wouldnt even say coming down yet. when we get back to the house we see that his family has come back from their afternoon. sunny comes to hang out with us and asks us how our hike was and where we went and what happened and what we saw and all the endless questions a mind likes to ask at that age. it's very nice to have him around and me and C take turns hugging him and stealing chips from his bag of snacks he brought us, haha. so C goes inside to wash up (turns out he got in the bathtub with his sweatshirt on, hahaha) and me and sunny go to this BIG hill with a BIG tree at the top of it. C's dad rigged a giant swing onto the tree with the seat being a skateboard deck and the huge ropes holding it on. the way it was set up you could pull all the way back up the hill on the swing and then let go and WOOOSH, fly out out out out into space! when you went up there you could see the whole valley, the sun set, the town, the rivers, the orchards, my old high school, the moon coming out early, the first stars, the oranges, the purples, you could smell the tree, the wind was amazing and then WOOOOSH back down and sunny would push you and laugh and WOOOOOSH back out into space! we took turns doing this for a good two hours before they came and got us for dinner.

7:00 ...STILL tripping. we have a nice family dinner, talk about music and stuff. then we go into the living room and i listen to woodie guthry songs with his mom and talk about her art and stuff while C and his pops make a fire for the evening (no heat in the house, just a monster fireplace). so we all huddle up next to the fireplace and listen to music...watched thicker than water (jack johnson surf flick, very cool) and relaxed. they put sunny to bed around 8 or 9 and we hang out and talk about our day and our first time tripping with his parents. C's pop makes us some tea and we basically spend the next three or four hours diggin' on music (i wish someone had told me about shpongle before this hahah), C's mom does some art, his pops reads, i listen to tunes....it felt very organic and comfortable.

around midnight they all crash and i hang out by the fire for a few hours with C (till maybe 3am) just thinking about the day and how blessed we are to have friends and family and an earth who are so good to us. the fire is a source of endless entertainment, haha. i zonk on the couch in front of the fire, listening to the coyotes howl in the valley.

so while there were no massive epiphanies about life or huge realizations about myself, it felt like it was much more basic and organic than that any sort of thing like that...much more simple and comforting than any complicated insights into an already complicated life. i feel like the world will provide for us...we need to be compassionate and patient and watch those actions birth more compassion and patience...

just a beautiful day

:D

Nice report! Sounds like you are surrounded by very solid and caring people, and your location was prime.

Also sounds like you had some pretty potent blotters, very lucky :) Thanks for the report

this report was great. im kinda tripping still right now from earlier in the night, and i could see everything you were describing. that sounds like such a cool place to trip, and your so lucky your surrounded with such great people. i really liked this reoprt, ill look forward to reading the next.

Again we see how important setting and company are when tripping. I really learnt from this report and now that I am planning my first trip, I only hope that My trip is as ideal as yours. Great Report.

yep, setting and company has always been the top of my list if i'm going to try something. especially for the firs time. we actually had the chance to do it twice before, but had already decided we wanted to do it at his house on a nice day. the two others, were both with people we didn't know all that well and in places we weren't super comfortable.

always better to wait for the right time than to force something.

Lol, how come you didn't tell them about the part when you called me up and asked for me to check your grades online?

and I jokingly told you, you we're failing all your classes (I didn't know he was tripping)

cuz that sucked =[ hahaha....he told me i was getting all D's and C's in my classes...bastard.
