LSD First Time, instense, confusing, amazing

Ok so its my first time trying LSD, me and two friends E and K will be trying it together. We know each other fairly well and are generally into trying anything so good group.

I wake up and its sunny recieving a text message message from a friend telling me its a good day for a trip and it damn well is. Clear skies, sun and whatnot. So I head out, meet K and then we arrive at E's house which is a student house. Luxkily the place is empty and he is the only left as college is over. E is the only experienced tripper of the three of us so he sorts everything out and pretty soon we are sticking those little pieces of cardboard in our mouths.

3.00pm

Well I must say I feel nervous like the first time I dropped pills, so I start to walk around the room. Then E decides that it would be a good idea to go for a walk for an hour or so to let the acid take effect.

3.30

Now this guy lives beside the most beautiful park, a little river that you can follow goes on for a fair bit and its like being in a park but knowing that nearby you can reach shops and all that. So as we walk down this long path we begin to notice little signs, for one we take a wrong turn into some bushes and nearly get caught there, we notice we are unusually frightened of the idea of getting caught here so we quickly escape and a huge wave of relief takes over. We start noticing things in nature we had ignored, like there is a little wall and the patterns of the bricks together looks kinda different to me. Then we see some ducks and we just stand and watch them for a while.

We reach the end of the road, talk to these drunks and give them a ciggie. We cross a bridge and then go back the other way. This is when I notice the starnge relationship I am having with my ciggeratte, it seems to be melting into my hand or something. I know something is happening, not sure what. We see a bench and E and K sit down, I sit across from them and notice the scene looks like a photograph, it seems perfect or something.

So we do a few things on the way back, we jump into a little jutting piece of rock on the little river and talk about nature, man and things like that.
Pretty soon though we are back at E's house.

4.00

Back at E's house things start to get more noticeable. We are laughing at everything, like being well stoned. Everything seems funny and I dont remember much about this part of the trip except laughing a lot.

We then put on some music in the sitting room. This was when the trip started to get intense for me. The three of us sat down, and werent really talking. I started to notice that I was getting more confused about things and that essentially time for all intents and purposes was dragging on, for example a minute would feel like 10 or so depending on what you were doing.

The ciggerratte was now the most obvious effect for me, I kept thinking I had finished my smoke, or that I had smoked more of it but they never seemed to end. It was strange to say the least.

4.30

Then we are started to talk to each other and this was in a way scary for me because I couldnt really use any sense of reason. All kinds of things happened in this part of the trip, for example we started to write down things. I have pieces of paper that say things like 'Were mental' 'simple sentence' 'E is playing with feet' and this is the one I remember being funny, 'Why am I talking to the radio'. I remember distinctly searching for reason in my mind and not being able to think logically at all, I remember repeating over and over 'A mans mind is not his own on LSD'. K wrote down some more interesting things:

'were getting inside events' 'P made a mistake''bouts of reason' 'things are strange' there is pages of stuff we wrote and they make sense in the context of your trip thats for sure.

There was also moments when you felt you might go down a bad path and enter a bad trip, also the feeling that people might be plotting against you.

For example the simple act of giving somebody a lighter in the middle of an acid frenzy can become quite sinister.

So this weird part of the trip went on for seemingly ages although we knew not much time was passing. I was getting worried it would be like this for loads more hours, this intense that is.

5.00

Luckily we entered a new stage and this was the real LSD trip for me. This is when we started to see strange things happening. A few things are noticeable that happened.

A bottle of water morphed in and out, itwould become fatter and then thinner, its hard to explain. The fireplace seemed to contain faces and the image of a woman dancing could be seen.

The lampshade in the room was like some kind of God that did the starngest things, and a stain on the wall took on the form of a man akin to the msn messenger man.

The curtains were great, they were exactly how you see them portayed as people try to portay acid trips, waving for no reason and almost as if somebody was manipulating them.

There was also a calender with loads of little animals on it, little cartoon monkeys, all kinds of mad shit!

The two most intense visuals I got were with a bowl of jelly (we ate jelly and cookies all day!) which did things words will never be able to explain and then the mirror. The mirror was amazing, looking at it and no tin it it would get bigger smaller, engulf the room, looking into it at yourself and specifically into your eyes you would see the most psychedelic things happening, this nearly fucked me up. As I was doing this for ages I started to feel like my 'self' was being dissolved, and that I was about to leave the room, things were going black when I snapped out of it and was ok again. It was weird though.

5.30/6.00 unsure

We run out of smokes and E decides that we should go to the stop. We find out later this was a part of his plan. Although the idea seems a little scary the house is getting too much for me and I need to escape.

We walk a little slower across the road, you feel in control but a little intoxicated. Anyway we walk by the church emptying and people seem so distant. When we get to the shop its a SPAR and man is that place intense.

E decides to buy 60 smokes in one go rather than the three of us seperately as the place is far too insane, the bottle aisle is the best, it is full of oranges, blues and all kinds of colours melding in together. I tell E not to look over there, some people in the shop look, there is nothing there to them so we get out of there quick as we can.

We decide then to go on another walk. This quite relaxed, we still trip off some things, such as graffiti and so on but its far more controllable, you are in control a lot more by this stage and can start to seek things out that would be nice to look at and then concentrate in them to see what they might do. So we walk for a bit, turn back and then sit on a hill.

On the hill we think its over really and as far as intensity goes it was. We just sit on this hill looking over Dublin, looking at clouds and houses. My friend rings me and we talk for a bit about what its like with him.

7.00

We return back and things are a hell of a lot calmer. E decides to make some food and we have some chicken and rice although the food is a little hard to eat for some reason. It takes a while to get this done and when we sit back down we turn on the tv and start watching whetever.

So from about 8.30 till late we watch South Park and whatnot noticing that all is back to normal except the curtains in the room.

We have a beer each, then at around 1 or 2 in the morning I go to bed and its easy to fall asleep depite my stomach cramps which have started again (they happen with drugs and me a lot).

I wake up the next day and go away, I'm wrecked, drained but it was good. I dont know whether Id recommend LSD, its like getting your head smacked with a brick wall, you experience something close to madness I think.

I dont know whether Ill do it for a long time again. LSD isnt a drug you can fuck with I dont think.

That is so sweet. What a lovely trip report

I have to confess, I am terribly in the habit of having lots of opiates and nitrous post psychedelics to assist the comedown, but when I first started taking acid, I would make myself do simple and repetitive tasks so I would stop dwelling on the fact I was so blah. Stirring soup I had made was a good one, as was a jigsaw puzzle (and not one of those MC Escher ones, like a poxy disney one or something). Maybe next time try some South Park while you're still actively tripping, it's beautiful brain food.

LSD is almost always worth the sketchy next day though ;)

Nice report.

I like the use of friends "K" and "E" on LSD .. you wouldn't be Charlie ("C") would you ;)

It was worth it and I feel fine generally just stomach cramp for some reason which I get when I do xtc as well. Its apart of my drug experience now.

just can't wait to try this chem!, good report, these drugs do make you selfless which can be quite disconcerting for some people, glad u didn't have a bad one

You sure you mean self-less? MDMA is a self-less drug for me but LSD is a little more self conscious! Meh ... YMMV ;)

Nice Report. I would've stayed in the park though it sounds awesome, but it sounds like you had an insane time anyway.

Well the park was small and it was easy enough to get out onto the roads which we were worried about, crossing roads took ages.

I think we managed to mix them well and yeah twas insane.
