LSD - Water & the fluid universe

Drug - liquid LSD
dose: 325 ug

On Thursday my housemate got hold of some liquid lsd and on friday night his parents were away for the weekend so we decided to use thier house as the setting for our latest lsd adventure as it had a great view from the balcony more importantly, a pool!

There was 4 of us, Myselfy, my housemates J and S and my friend M. We got there about 9pm and each had 2 sugar cubes with aprox 100ug each on them. After 20-40 minutes we were feeling good and getting some smooth crystal clear visuals but nothing mind blowing so we decided to take another... only problem was the rest of the cubes were back at my housemates place. So we decided to go on a drive, it was only a short drive and we werent tripping hard so we decided it was safe. I was in the back seat for the drive and there was a rear cigerette lighter which kept flashing randomly which made me and S giggle rampantly. The material on the roof was also loose which was creating a giant "bubble" on the car roof which looked quite peculiar. We were listening to the streets which created a pretty cool mood. The drive seemed to take no time at all and we raced inside, munched another cube and went on our merry way. On the drive back we decided to stop past a playground and go on a big spiral slippery dip. It was right near my parents house and was the park I used to play on while I was a kid which was quite nostalgic. We realised we had better get back before we were tripping too hard and couldnt drive so we jumped back in the car and hastily left back to the house. On this drive I changed the CD randomely and put on some ragtime jazz which totally changed the mood. It was perfect, silly, crazy, with a good beat and set the mood perfectly for the madness that we knew was about to ensue.

We arrived back at the house and just sat on the back porch for a while waiting for the intense visuals to kick in. We had one cube left from before and decided we should share it, but sharing a lsd cube is hard to do so we decided to make some tea with it. S made the tea and found some herbal tea called "emperors tea" which was citrus flavoured (on a previous trip we decided orange was the colour/flavour of pure good) so this tea was perfect. I said to S to put it in something regal and oriental and he found a little porcelan china tea pot which could not have been more perfect. The visuals were starting to creep in nicely by this stage and the bricks on the wall started to come to life, reaching out of the walls and begging to be looked at. S came out with the tea and we passed it around in a very ceremonious fashion. So by now we had all had 3 and 1/4 cubes (aprox 325ug) and knew the night could only get better.

Another friend P, called J and expressed interest in joining us, he was a first timer so we invited him over, but we came to the same problem, the trips were back at J's house! J and M and P left in P's car to get more trips, leaving me and S to explore the house, we went into a room were there was an aquarium with a frog in it. I looked at the frog for ages, it was stuck to the back glass, the smooth green skin was amazing and little tiny wrinkles formed in its skin and the arms. At first glace didnt look like it was moving but with more attention you could see it breathing and even its organs pumping and moving. S then drew my attention to some chinese silk paintings, magnificent! The silk itself was so intricate with flower patterns that would swirl and bend within my mind. As you looked at the painting you could see ever so slightly the pattern of the silk showing through the thick paint. All of a sudden the boys got back and I thought "that was quick!" I thought we must have been looking at that stuff for much longer than I had imagined. However we found out that half way there P changed his mind after he found out that he would be tripping well into the morning and he had a doctors apointment so he decided against it. So with the group reformed we decided we were hungry and went inside to cook up some coctail frankfurts. I put some hot water in a pot and as S was about to put frankfurts in I stopped him and said "lets watch the water boil first!" The four of us crowded around the pot excited, and believe me...a watched pot does boil! the bubbles started forming at the bottom and sparkling and swirling, we then noticed that as the water got hoter it started spinning counter clockwise! We realised that it was due to the coriolis effect (same as why water spins a certain way down the drain) and this was the first time "water" and its amazing properties featured in the night. The water came to a rolling boil which looked amazing and we eventually put the hotdogs in... we watched them cook. Some were still attached to eachother and the spinning water and bubbles caused them to either untwist at the joint or tighten. Eventually the skin split on a one of them which was met by cheering from all. We went outside to eat our meal and decided they were the best frankfurts we had ever eaten because we put so much love into the cooking of them.

The boys kept chatting and I wondered of into a bush to have a leak. I looked up at the stars which were bending and stetching and enveloping the sky, it was amazing. I went for a small walk to get a better view of the stars and let them devour my conciousness. I breathed in the fresh air of reality and smiled at the amazing world in which I lived. I went to get the guys and told them we should check out more of outside and see the stars so we all decided to go out to the pool area. I took my shoes off and waded into the shallow end of the pool. The pool is quite a good one which is has crazy curves and an entrance like a beach with pebbles. I felt like I was on a beach a splashed my foot around in the water and freaked myself out when I saw "sand" float up and make the water cloudy! Hang on... this is a pool!!! I showed S and he was amazed at the illusion of sand too. J and M thought we were crazy but had to come over and look too. They were shocked at how real it seemed and we all splashed our feet in the water for a while. I couldnt wait any longer and took my shirt off and dived into the pool. the sensation was overwhelming. The submersion of water, the underwater sound invading my ears, the presure of the water on my body. Bliss. I swam around just enjoying the water, floating and wading...letting it flow right through my body and my mind. On other trips I have experienced the sense of all elements in the world being like fluid and "flowing" through the universe. The actual water magnified this concept ten fold and I felt like I was part of the infinite universe. I swam up to the shallow end and the others were still talking by the side of the pool. They asked me if it was good... "Of course its good!!! are you fucking kidding!!!" That convinced them all to join me and we all fell in love with the water. Swimming underwater and opening my eyes was amazing. Normally underwater its quite hard to see because your eyes try to focus but cant. On lsd however the eyes have no need to fucus and the underwater world becomes a smooth unified blur of colour and shapes... breathtaking. We all "beached" ourselves like whales on the shore and pretended to be whales and dolphins. We decided we could spend all night here but thought we should get out and have another swim later.

We got out and were all tripping hard! I looked at some garden pebbles and saw the thing I love most about taking lsd. The perfect symetry everything seems to have. On trips I have had my life changed by being able bring back to the real world a greater sense of beauty and clarity but the one thing that is almost imposible to "see" the next day is this symetry. I looked at the rocks and it was like infinite spirals melding into each other, yet every pebble and bit of dirt was just randomely placed. It's like the world is an infinite fractal image that fits together perfectly. Everything perfectly placed in the universe. Working together in an ultimate unifying harmony. I breathed in the purity of the experience I was having and smilled to myself.

We went back around the backyard for a while and laughed at a little wooden garden bird thats wings spun around in the wind. He seemed to be talking to us with his movements. We walked out the front of the house via an extremely dark path. It was near pitch black and I started seeing big "black spots" that almost filled my vision, the spots had intense psychadelic swirling colours around the edges. This scared me a bit as I couldnt see where I was going, but excited me as I had never experienced such intense visuals before! I said to M behind me "can you see black dots?" and he replied... "shit yeah! your dropping them man!" We laughed and my concern was gone as we came into the light. We wondered around for a while aimlessly and returned inside. We looked around the house at paintings and trinkets which cought our eye for a while and headed back outside. Myself and S went out the front and J and M stayed out the back. We got up to the balcony which overlooked a valley filled with streetlights. We just quietly watched the lights sparkle for a while and this was quite nostgic for me as the area we were looking at was the area I had grown up my whole life. On other tripping adventures our group had walked along a main road we could see the lights for and I spun myself out as I imagined myself walking along that road being watched by myself. We talked about all the people in the houses out there, all living individual lives. I looked at the web of roads all linked together and then imagined an invisible web in which people were joined... all the people in all the houses out there were linked together by a web of experience, the thought was mindblowing. We were very contemplative and started talking about life and purpose in life and realised J and M were still mucking around out the back. We went on a mission to get them back and bring them to our world but instead got sucked in by what they were doing! The were huddled on the ground watching two ants. The ants were fighting each other and watching them was more amazing than any documentary, or any wrestling match for that matter. They were locked on combat, each and trying to get its stinger into the other. This went on for at least an hour and you couldnt take your eyes off it. After grappling with eachother the larger ant seemed to have won, the other ant barely moving but the small ant although possibly dead had gone stiff and was still locked around the larger and so the larger and that had won the battle was notibly hurt but also had the losing ant tangled in itself and couldnt move. It was like a war movie, the perfect example of the futility of battle. Nobody won.

I left the ants and wondered off back toward the pool area, I looked up at the stars again and after looking so microscopically at these ants I was devoured by the macroscopic scale of the stars and sky. I kept looking and was frozen by the universe before me. The wind blew and I felt an energy of life flow through me. I walked down to the pool alone and gazed into the water.... the surface was dead calm and smooth and looked amazing. I waded into the shallow end again and kicked and splashed the water, I watched the light refract of the waves and shine on the bottom of the pool. Words cannot describe how amazing this looked. the initial splash caused this random explosive mess of light, but as the waves regulated themselves the patterns became more ordered and started to flow and move in unison. Because I was looking at the bottom of the pool the top of the water visually dispeared and all that existed was an empty pool with a thin layer of water at the bottom moving perfectly with the flow of the universe. The illusion was seamless and the water effect at the bottom cause by the light refraction was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. I ran to get the others who were still looking at the ants, on the way looking at the stars again and feeling the wind which now swept through me with the same motions as the water in the pool. The whole universe was made of this fluid flowing matter which consumed us all. I had to almost drag the others away from the ant but they all came and I showed them the pool illusion and they were all breathtaken by it... we watched it for at least an hour before we decided it was time for our second swim. We turned all the lights off this time. I bombed into the pool and took in the feeling of being covered in tiny air bubbles. J got some dive masks so we could see under water. From underwater you could see the same light refractions that we were looking at earlier, we were submersed in it. I let all the air out of my lungs and observed myself sinking to the bottom as the air left me, the bubles floating up in front of my face. I swam to the bottom of the deep and and spun around to look up at the glassy surface of the water and up and the stary night sky, it was beyond description. I swam underwater and M swam past me so gracefully, it looked like some kind of merman and as he swam the tiny bubbles floated to the glassy surface. After swimming and calming down a bit we just layed there floating looking up at the sky. I spotted a satelite and followed it through the sky. I spun around in the water and stopped suddenly, the sky and stars kept spinning. The others all tried this and there were 4 grown men spinning around in a pool making themselves dizzy and looking up at the stars. It was quite the kodak moment.

We got out eventually and dried off and headed inside. We sat down and looked at a cactus and let the trip wind down. I drunk a litre of water and felt its pure goodness fill my body. We got out some old matresses and all drifted to sleep. Although external signs of tripping were gone when I closed my eyes my mind was still racing. When tripping you seem to be able to "think" in vivid colour which is hard to achieve in a sober state. I drifted to sleep with wild psychadelic coloured images drifting through my head... flowing through my mind like fluid.

Interesting read indeed.
Stars are one of my personal favourite things to watch while tripping - must have been just righteous while floating in a pool too :)

Best description of a lsd trip I've ever read. Your an excellent writer, I felt like I was right there!

Brilliant report mate!!
Beautifully written..

Dude, do you only ever take acid?! :D

I'm impressed you could sleep with a racing brain, I can never do it.
