It was in the middle of summer in Victoria and it was incredibly hot, we began making our way to a pretty well known bush doof. Not knowing many people in VIC I was hoping to buy my supplies there and was dwelling on it the whole ride. After all what is a Rave in the bush without LSD and some damn fine weed?
We arrived from Melbourne in no time at all a day before the event and it was just as I imagined it, dry dusty but still awesome none the less. This was my first time at a bush doof and it definitely lived up to my expectations, after setting up camp I went for a stroll to search for said supplies. After about 10 steps from my campsite I ran into someone I used to go to school with and he hooked me up, I never really knew the guy all that well but hell why not ask. He introduced us (My girlfriend was with me) and we hung around a little and got to know them.
TRIP BEGINS HERE
I bought our first lot of supplies, 1 tab and 3 drops of liquid and half and ounce of some pretty awesome weed, after having the 3 drops I then returned to camp. It was my girlfriends first time experience with acid and I had told her as much as I could to prepare her, not really being the responsible boyfriend I should have been I gave her the whole tab while sitting in the gazebo. 30 minutes later the acid begins to kick in unexpectedly as I was rolling a few joints for the night, I look up at my girlfriend and she is trembling and looking at me scared and asks if this is normal, I tell her to relax settle down trying to help her keep her cool, I tell her that acid is one of those drugs that play off your emotions so as long as you keep your cool everything will be fine. Of course saying that didn't help at all so she asks if we can hang around the people we met earlier.
So we begin our journey back to their camp, on the way we ran into some random guy looking just as confused as we were, for some reason we were draw together and all of a sudden just stood there quietly and stared at each other then all three of us shook our heads and went whoa, I cant explain this but we just all connected mentally for that brief second and then went our separate ways without saying a word to each other.
We arrived at their camp and my girlfriend takes a seat and begins to chat with them and tells them that she wants to chill with them and that this was her first trip, My school friends gives me this look of you idiot you gave her a full tab, either he gave me that look or I was paranoid.. who knows.
We chat for a while and get along with them well, talking smack, then all of a sudden a kid runs up to me and puts a Bug finger puppet on my finger this blew my mind and for some reason I just started talking to the bug and playing into the kids game and taking on the role of the bug. After the kid left I was so confused and bemused I sat there for hours playing with that bug and talking to it. Im not sure what I was talking about but it got dubbed the 'Bad Advice Bug' by those around me. It started to get dark and the trip was still going strong, and out of nowhere my girlfriend stands up and asks me out loud if its bad parenting to bring a kid to a bush doof and then starts to cry.. everyone looks at us awkwardly as the parents say "I dont see a problem with it" and walked off, feeling really awkward myself I apologise to everyone and and attempt to cheer her up and convince her to take a walk with me.
Walking felt really strange, it felt like I was walking on stumps. I light a joint and we walk around and explore the sights. We find ourselves looking at random things and touching bark on trees , while rubbing a tree this old man dressed as a wizard stands next to me and asks me what im doing and I try to explain why without looking like a drug fu@#ed tool. He laughed and then joined in and we sat and talked about spirituality and shared our views on the universe. After getting to know the old wizard I asked him about his views on LSD and he laughed and asked me if I had any. I said no but offered to get some and told him to wait and keep the tree company, I left with my gf and she decided to go to bed and I returned to the group to buy more acid and headed back to the wizard.
I bought him 3 tabs and 2 more for myself, we both took them and picked up the conversation where we left off while strolling around. The conversation became more eccentric and random as we both seemed to be tripping hard, we walked around and we ran into his friends and I talked to them a little longer and went to their camp to chill, at this point the visuals were pretty intense, the sky was cloudy and dark but that didn't stop the crazy patterns in the clouds and everyones faces were morphing. We had talked for what felt like hours and I thought it was time to go check up on my girlfriend so I said I needed to go, He said no problem then put a gram of DMT in my hands I had no idea what it was at the time as I had never tried it before and he explained what it was, he said he was giving it to me because I never asked for any money for the tabs and its one of those things that comes to you when your ready. I thanked him and made my way back to the camp.
After a bit of searching in the dark I found our camp and laid with my girlfriend in the dark and talked until the next morning..
