'Cid -- Experienced -- Blue Oyster Cult -- WTF
Blue Oyster Cult played an early show, a benefit for Muscular Dystrophy Association (6pm) at a local dance club I've only been to once before for a dud cover band for Van Halen.
Lots of motorcycles in the parking lot, it was closed to cars: I knew this was going to be fun, I could hardly wait to get inside and dose. A band was playing, I thought I got there late or they started early so I dosed only one hit and ordered a glass of wine.
It wasn't a strong dose (don't know what the pattern was, it was a thick blotter with "Orange" written on one side, with a pattern that looked like the old WWII Japanese flag "Land of the Rising Sun".
When the band played (Don't Fear) The Reaper I started to work up asweat and had to take off my jacket. Fortunately I had on one of my prettiest bras. Later the staff told me to put back on my "shirt!?" WTF??? I'm 36B, 5'10" and 120#, later they're supposed to have "Stripped Down Dancing" with no dress code.
None of the guys hit on me. I went to a strip club to chill out and watch the pretty dolls dance. That went okay for a while. 85% of the music sucked, the sound system was turned down so people could talk. The only ones dancing were the dancers.
After a couple glasses of wine they served me a glass of water!!!? WTF?! Maybe I wasn't tipping enough. How much are you supposed to tip the waitress for bringing you a drink? I feel sorry for them, there was not many guys in the club. Several other women though, a couple of them tried to talk with me:
Are you here alone?
Yes.
Do you come here often?
No.
Why are you here alone?
I'm too crazy.
She spun around and must have told all her friends. They weren't my type anyway: not skinny but I would have taken her home. Cute lesbos watching and caressing their girls dance.
No guys tried to pick me up there either -- good thing. Figured it was time to leave. Got home at 12:30 and put on a 50 min CD mix of different versions of (Don't Fear) The Reaper, Hazy Shade of Winter (Bangles), and Dust in the Wind (Daughter Darling). Annoyed my neighbor who flashed his porch light telling me the music was too loud. WTF?! I've got to tell him: whenever you hear loud music, come on over and party.
Went to sleep right after that and woke up feeling great Sunday morning at 5:30AM.
The great thing about 'Cid is you can control the dose for any occasion. It was a fun evening. Wouldn't miss BOC in any venue anytime.
Next trip planned for . . . ?
Peace & Love!
