LSD dosage

My friend hasn't used acid before, if I gave him half a tab would the effects be less intense or last a shorter duration, or is it subjective?

Don't short him on a dose. Give him at least one, three or four would be more like it. Jesus. It won't be strong enough.
 
sarcasm detection activated ;) the reason for my question is the tabs I have are potent and I don't want him to be in an uncomfortable state for 8 hours+ if he didn't like it
 
The duration will be the same whether he takes half a tab, or twenty tabs. The only difference is the intensity. Why don't you give him half a tab, then the other half 30 minutes later (before the first one kicks in?)
 
Um why? Give him half, let him decide if he's comfortable or not and then give him the other half. Why would you give him half, then give him the other before the first even kicked in? He won't know if he's had too much or too little yet.

LSD as much as I love it, is certainly not for everyone and if the boards you have are indeed potent, half will definitely produce effects. I'm an experienced user and I had a half a potent board of the weekend and it did me nicely.

If it's redosing you're concerned about, in my experience redosing works up to 2, 2.5 hours after initial consumption. Not to mention if they're really potent, unless you're already coming down a redose will be more than noticeable. Don't forget if he likes the experience he can always buy more and up the dose at another time, there's no good reason to dive head first into an extremely powerful hallucinogenic substance, but I can think of a couple of good reasons not to. There's plenty of time to explore the rabbit hole.

you can always take more, but you can never take less once it's ingested.
 
I took half a tab my first few times tripping on Lsd. I was getting potent stuff and it definitely produced visual and mental effects with only taking half.
 
My previous batches were 40 ug of LSD per blotter, 40 ug of what now appears LSB/LSP and the new ones I have are tested between 150-200 ug (don't know why I did not get a precise number but testing is free here).

So just saying unless you have reasons to believe that you know what kind of dosage the batch has better start with half a blotter and as is suggested, wait about 45-90 minutes depending on 'alerts' felt and decide whether to take the other half. If it doesn't produce a satisfying result it's possible that even 1 hit total won't really be enough.
Better luck next time in that case, always remember there will be other opportunities later - it doesn't have to feel like a destiny moment, don't unnecessarily glorify that the first time must be perfect. It will eventually be perfect if you check your sweet spot (and your friend does I mean), but not good if you risk going too hard too fast.
 
The blotter i have got is potent enough you only need to take half a hit to get good effects for around 8-12 hours :D
 
The reason I said half and the other half in 30 minutes is because pretty much most acid out on the streets today is VERY weak, especially in comparison to hits from years ago.
