LSD Discussion Thread (Australian Centric) v II

^ I'd probably have to disagree with you on the ink theory, unless someone was particularly sensitive to it, and go with impurities in the lsd. Another bluelighter was only recently telling me of a doof he'd attended where a good portion of the patrons spent most of the time going to and from the toilets with diarrhea due to a batch of "black russian liquid". Unless you have a very strict diet you'd probably eat artificial colourings all of the time in quantities much higher than the amount of ink that'd be on a tiny blotter.

This I'd agree with though. If it works for you feel free to continue doing so :) I can't see any harm in not eating the paper.

not to get into argument or anything (i really don't know what the deal is) but reading wiki (yes yes not very accurate) it purports that there can be ill effects from ink.

also considering that blotter paper art is producd in commercial printers it is of little wonder that those inks are hardly chosen for their non-toxic attributes.

I guess the better way to resolve this is can people who have had regular access to liquid LSD can indicate if there is a difference?

Health and environmental aspects

See also: Environmental issues with paper
There is a misconception that ink is non-toxic even if swallowed. Once ingested, ink can be hazardous to one's health. Certain inks, such as those used in printers, and even those found in a common pen can be harmful. Though ink does not easily cause death, inappropriate contact can cause effects such as severe headaches, skin irritation, or nervous system damage. These effects can be caused by solvents, or by pigment ingredients such as p-Anisidine, which helps create some ink's color and shine.
Three main environmental issues with ink are:
Volatile organic compounds
Heavy metals
Non-renewable oils
Some regulatory bodies have set standards for the amount of heavy metals in ink.[11] There is a trend toward vegetable oils rather than petroleum oils in recent years in response to a demand for better environmental sustainability.

Hey guys, I wondering if many people get head aches and random aches and pains the day after tripping? The last 3 times I've tripped the day after I seem to be getting some mind splitting headaches and pains in my arm, was wondering if that's normal and if not what could be causing it?

I get a headache after i come down and next day too from tripping. It is mentally tiring. Altho the pains in ur arms arnt a very common thing. Im quite curious as to what could of caused it as well.

Thanks it's a bit of a relief to know the headaches are normal, the pain in the arm extends across the forearm to the wrist but only in my right arm. It's quite similar to the ache you get in your shins if you get kicked. Sort of a pulsing ache.

If i'm doofing, I'll usually be sore from dancing for hours on end, but I don't find I get headaches and other pains the day after tripping unless I have been pushing my body.

Are you keeping hydrated enough while you trip and are you eating?

It's easy to forget to take in enough liquids and energy giving foods when you are tripping for hours on end. This can definitely lead to body aches/headaches.

Other causes could include excessive sun exposure (doubtful in southern Aus at the moment) and other drugs used while tripping.

Keep hydrated, if you decide to drink alcohol keep it to a few drinks and be sure to eat something (fruit is always great when tripping).

My last experience was last night bored and alone at home so I was just hanging at home watching my favorite trip movies had 3 Dim Sims and half a packet of squirms and approximately 600mls of water during my last trip. No other drugs mixed. Yet today was shite. That's why I was confused as to why it kept happening :\

I wake up feeling perfectly fine just about every time I've had a night on acid. The only times when I've felt even a little bit worse for wear was when I consumed excessive amounts of alcohol and didn't eat for a long time, and even then I feel much better than I would have the day after alcohol alone.

Most of my experience is with fruit salads and cherubs.

They're blue with a sort of green diamondish shape on them, I'll take a photo when I get back home tonight and post it on the ID thread. I bought them at a psy gig and didn't get their name, that's the issue of not having a stable source I guess :\

if tabs are kept in a plastic zip-lock bag in a dark dry place how long will they keep their magic for? or atleast how long does it take before they start to degrade?

The LSD is always degrading. The zip lock bag will slow this process to an extent. If going down this path I suggest zip lock bagging and then sandwiching the baggy in the middle of a big thick book to keep all the air and light out.

Best way to store tabs is double bagged inside a jar filled with desiccant and then placed in a freezer. I notice little to no degradation when storing this way

I'm not planning on taking them for another month, will using the book and maybe a couple bags be good enough storage so they dont lose too much potency?

Yes, the thick book method works a treat for a few months, any longer and I recommend freezing. Do not freeze without all the precautions to stop moisture from effecting tabs! (double bagging and plenty of desiccant) The three things that will degrade your LSD are moisture, heat and light. Anything you do to stop these three things will prolong the potency of your LSD.

Whilst the isomers that LSD breaks down into may not be psychoactive, they could easily fit into receptor sites and change the trip. Anyone who has had liquid will tell you how much cleaner it feels than blotter (unless the blotter is super fresh). Badly stored/old blotter tends to be a dirtier trip with more body kinks.

It is well worth using the correct storage methods.

No problem Sameria. Some paper seems to degrade much quicker than others.

Every now and then i'll lose a tab in my drawer, Hofmann circa 2005 for example and they will still be good when I find them a year or 2 later. That said, I have had other tabs, like the polynesians, alex greys and felix's which degraded within a couple of weeks. When I found some poly's from early last year around march this year, they were terrible, maybe 25% the potency of when I got them and gave me terrible stomach cramps/gas.

When I'm not working, playing or researching I film inter racial, amputee, midget porn for the masses. Yewwwww ;)
