LSD Discussion Thread (Australian Centric) Mach III

I cant recall ever getting visuals off trips. I had some insanely strong ones back in the days (robots, smileys, purple ohms, strawberries etc) and used to have 1 or 2 in a night at events, then when I went to Bali and had shrooms I had amazing visuals which were so fucking mega we had to lock our selves in our hotel room and just trip out to the curtains making shapes and distortions at us.
 
lsd is just as, if not more visual than shrooms imo/e. lsd is just a hell of a lot more random/diverse in where it can lead you and what it can show you, for me anyway, i guess thats part of its beauty.

if you are not getting visuals from lsd you are not getting the full experience, fact, unless your are on benzos which are fucking shit up.

i dont care how many so called mics the dealer claimed hes talking out his money hungry asshole.
 
yeah, I know I'm going to be the odd one out here. I wasnt on benzos at the time, i used to trip hard a fair bit, I had amazing times and some of the memories will stay with me for along time, but for the total visual distortion thing, lsd has never done it for me, unlike the times I've had shrooms. I've never had more than 2 in a night tho. Probably sounds weird. Also I used to notice my face used to get very blotchy and look like shit after strong trips and I'd look in the mirror and think, have i taken something laced with some bad shit? And lsd would last ages, the feelings, where as I recall the shrooms lasted alot shorter and then just kind wore off and I was nearly straight and my face didnt look all shit.
 
sounds to me like you were only just touching base with decent lsd effects. the first thing i notice on lsd is weirdness/distortions with my own body, like what you mentioned splotchiness or magnification of ones own physical flaws. i often see things magnified to 'molecular level'. have you ever seen the building blocks that make up the hairs on your arm do the dance, or see a solar system/universe within cells that make up the skin of your arm? mirrors are where it happens. psychs are just a magnification/reflection of your own psyche...why wouldnt mirrors trip you the fuck out?

i agree that lsd lasts a quite a bit longer than fungus. and i also find mushrooms a lot more friendly / easy. i have had a couple completely psyche shattering meltdown moments from lsd but i had never not been able to hold my thoughts together on fungus. i guess thats what i mean by lsd can be quite a bit more random for me.

I know some one that can eat up to around 15 of the "decent tabs" Cherubs, pink panthers etc, ones from that crew and still doesn't have visuals.
 
I find, low or high dose, its weed that really brings on the visual side of lsd for me

are you saying those tabs are not 'decent' or that 'decent' lsd does not give visuals? he must be rich :)

Im talking 1 to 3 tab kinda range 0.o May have access to a dropper and consider jumping a little further in the deep end sometime soon
 
haha talk about off topic chatter.

I dunno what half you guys are talking about, I seriously have never not had visuals from taking virtually any board. Even half of the Felixes, Sumos, Cosmic Elves and all the stuff that's been going around lately lands me in a decent spot. A full one and I'm tripping tasty. Anymore than that, I need to be in a controlled environment no doubt.

This thread just says to me that everyone is affected very differently by LSD, much more so than I previously thought.

Anyway should be picking up some of those Bikes soon. Hopefully they're as good as they were October 2011, not the best but very decent.

fuck me i ate 2 of those cherubs (first real lsd experience,i don't count the ones when i was 15) along with some nangs and had a full on out of body experience thought i was dead and just gave me ego to the lsd and thought if this is it this is and but luckily i was just tripping fucking balls and not dieing :)

for those of you who dont get visuals on acid.try smoking some dmt while peaking i find it really makes the acid wild once u get bak from dimi land

DO SOMETHING FUN. like make an ipod playlist, find a nice park, botanic gardens, a bush trail or a nice quiet and visually pleasing (trees, gardens, cool buildings, etc) part of town to wonder around at your leisure and soak up nature while you explore yourself. and no, i'm not condoning masturbating out in public :P not that kind of exploring yourself :D

^i know that's cliche as hell for an acid trip as well but it sure as shit beats sitting around with a bunch of dudes listening to a record you've heard a million times while staring at a TV screen watching a bunch of animals walk down a path. may as well just get stoned and watch LOTR's :P

no no not alice in wonderland i tried watching that while tripping n got so bored i turned the tv n lights off n hit the dmt hard.took a hit of dmt was holding hands with some female spirit (what ever u wanna call em) flying over and over dif universes.the name of the movie is The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (had to google it) with the tin man and the scarecrow that needs a brain lol.im taking my ipod and dmt n maybe a liltte bit of weed if movies get boring as most moives besides animation movies do.i seem to loose my attention quite fast when im tripping. :p
i kinda want my first lsd trip in a couple of years to be cliche.might help me keep my grasp on reality, less chance of things going wrong if im in a familiar environment with close mates rather than out in public in a place i dont know too well (will be heading up to perth for this trip).more than likely i'll get bored of the same type of music and movie and end up walking around outside under the stars haven't had much fun with psychedelics this past year i mean i've been taught things but in a very hectic way.

p.s theres nothing wrong with watching movies while on lsd.yes cliche but i've had some of my most profound expirneces watching animation movies on acid (finding nemo is super fuckin hetic when he gets stuck in all the jellyfish haha all there arms what ever u wanna call em started appearing on the wall then all around was pretty crazy)

meh personal preference man.i've had some greaaaaaat trips down the beach (gotta love living on the same road as the main beach :p) or the nature reserve behind my house but i must say my most enjoyable trips have been at home with a few close mates with a good animation movie.
idono why maybe i feel safe cus im in my house and things are in my control (i also get this with my day to day anxiety when i go to places i dont have much control over i tend to get nervous and worried.ever since i was involved in a aggravated assault i've been this way :\) hell even some of my most profound dmt+lsd experiences have been by myself in my room with no stimuli on what so ever.just lay in the dark staring at the crack in my room and it opens to a massive new universe lol
 
it's all about set and setting.
feeling safe is quite a critical point if you have pre-existing anxiety issues.
whether you are indoors or outdoors is beside the point, but my personal view is that watching a screen is too passive, and i get so much more from just interacting with the world around me a little bit. yeah, your perception is all askew, but this is true about anything you are likely to encounter in a trip.
of course everyone is different, and i don't even own a tv, so it's not really part of my life, but the best trips i've ever had have been in nature or doing something like playing with sound or other creative pursuits.
it sounds like psychedelics aren't your preferred drugs of choice, though JS, so i guess you need to pay particular attention to the set+setting in order to enjoy yourself, whereas i've done acid in all kinds of awkward situations and greatly enjoyed myself. each to their own...
