So say I took a third of a hit of some good dose on a Friday to see how it was could I take 2 hits on Saturday and get nice effects?

to begin with, how strong of a hit was it? What sort of effects did you get off of that 1/3rd hit?

To answer your question though, I would say that yes, you will still trip, but I would say that the effects will be noticeably diminished.

I've experimented with this, and even with microdoses (1/10th of a hit) tolerance is noticeable the next day. The tolerance is not as bad as if you had had a full blown trip, but comparable to the level of tolerance you have two days after a reasonable trip.

no offense, but that looks like some seriously soft science. There was no definition of what a "trip was" dose wise, and with psychedelics tolerance is dependent on doseage. If you take 500ug of lsd, your tolerance the next day is going to be bonkers. If you take .5ug, your tolerance likely won't be noticeable. This guy doesn't seem like he's in it for some serious spiritual exploration or for "peak effects", so in short, the answer to his question is "yes you will get high, but not as high as if you waited for three or four days."

Good doses from what I was told 175 ug and I trust the source. So the hit I took would have been roughly 60 Ugs. Didn't get any crazy visuals or anything but I definitely had a big ole mindfuck. From everywhere I've read you need to take double the dose for the same effect next day so wouldn't say 250 ugs be similar to a 190 ug trip?

Figured so. I'm just starting to dive into pschycedelics so I want to experiment with lower doses before I try and mess with ego shattering amounts so you are correct there. Thank you for the feedback!

No offense taken, but the graph does generally hold for me. With less than a week between trips (especially with lysergamides) I need much more for the same effect. Wasted a lot of good lysergamides figuring that out. And because LSD isn't cheap I'd recommend waiting a bit more and getting the same effect from less. Now if this was one of the cheap tryptamines or 2cs, then sure take a bigger dose and enjoy.

an old hippy man in san francisco once saw me sittin around, eyes bugged out. He came over, and out of the blue said "You CANT eat acid every day"
I was like FUCK YOU OLD HIPPY, and dropped another not really thinking "gee, how did he know what i was doing?" sure enough, i found out that old hippy was RIGHT.

The graph holds because that downward curve represents the general trend for receptor recovery after downregulation. By 'soft science' I mean that there are a lot variables that are left floating around, and the parameters for the gathered data are very loose. It definitely revealed some general trends, but nothing you couldn't find with a few google searches.

Of course, the numbers most certainly aren't exact, and different psys have different curves. but the general trend of it not being a good use of your money to try and trip every few days should still hold. Especially with the expensive psys like lsd.
