K just wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this. I'm an opiate addict. I have been takin LSD atleast once every other week for several months. Everytime I peak and then get comfortable, I begin to have agonizing pain in my lower back and my inner thigjs, sometimes to the point where I can barely walk downstairs in my apartment. I mean, it hurts well into two days later. I was wondering if maybe already being dependant on opiates had anything to do with this...

I don't know why it happens but to combat it you could do some basic yoga asanas on the comedown ? Childs pose comes to mind.

Never really experienced this. I have gotten some lower back pain from doing acid before due to muscle tension, but nothing serious. I always used to mix LSD with either heroin or buprenorphine/methadone.

Add magnesium maybe next time and see if it helps?

I have only been dosing like that for about two months, however, this happened the first time I did it in over 6 years. I had not taken any other psychadelics for over six years other than mushrooms once twice and slightly over did it on cough syrup one year due to bronchitis. So when I hot this batch it had been over 6 years since I had taken any LSD. First trip in six years was actually a pretty interesting day. I had got some Molly from A bro, 1g , and ended up sittin on it for a couple days til I had a free Fay. Started it at 11 am one day and ended up wanting more but couldn't get it and remember this LSD goin around. Got it and took 2 was FACED for the rest of the day as well as most of the morning. I was in a lot of pain!! I though it was the mdma wearing my ass out. I ended up doing some zanaflex and oxy and finally passed out, still in pain. Next trip was several weeks later and I took 3, was still pretty fucked up without Molly. I have been subutex for a while and will usually do about a quarter during the trip about midway through the pain started and lasted well into the rest of it. This has happened 4 times since then. I am wondering why it is so hard on my body, my boyfriend doesnt understand, he is extremely familiar with the stuff. Anyone else ever experience this?

Forgot to mention, I have tried soma and zanaflex for muscle pain as well as xanax for the anxiety as I tend to be very anxious no matter what, the LSD amplifies my nervous energy..

Just for the sake of narrowing things down here, are you reasonably certain that what you are taking is actually LSD? You say you've been out of the psychedelic scene for a long while, so are you aware of all the NBOMe series compounds going around as LSD? These blotters you have, do they have any flavour to them? If so, what is the flavour like? How do you take them? Do you hold them under your tongue, or between your gums and cheek, or do you just swallow them? How long do your trips last? How long is the wait until you first feel something, and how much longer from that point until you are peaking?

I ask because while I've never heard of what you are reporting from LSD, I have heard of something similar from 25i-NBOMe. Why it happens I'm not sure, but 2 people I know report searing leg pain during the tail end of some NBOMe experiences.

Also, I have been on methadone for quite some time, and I regularly dose a variety of psychedelics without any problems. In the past I have also done a whole plethora of other opioids either before, during, or soon after many psychedelic experiences with no ill effects. I know many who have done the same. I very much doubt that's the reason, barring some idiosyncratic reaction, that is...

I believe the above poster was referring to vasoconstriction. It not only applies to nbomes but dox as well considering it's potent enough to be passed off as lsd on blotter.
Do your hands/feet feel cold or have a loss of color during any part of the trip? Including come down.

Also,
you took 1g MDMA in one setting ? That might bring out some underlying problems, be they physical or mental ...

Being that you are addicted to opiates, my first assumption from hearing this would be that you have a physical problem which has been concealed by your opiate use, so now when you take LSD it makes you aware of the pain and exacerbates it. LSD isn't really a drug you can abuse like the other drugs you're taking, even MDMA shouldn't be taken like that. So when using these drugs the way you do, expect some negative effects.

LSD can cause vascular constriction.

I'm positive it is LSD, without a doubt.

I do have underlying health conditions, but never though it would be brought out at the level I have experienced. The only trip I have not felt this on , I actually hiked quite a bit, it was insane really how much I hiked that day. I also puked in an extremely violent, awful feeling kinda way. Omg. It was awful. But after I felt much better...

OP I know what you are going through, I know it too, but maybe not to the extant that you feel it. I just attribute it to getting old, and my nerves don't handle it as well as they used to. All the physiological aspects of the trip in the form of the muscle tensions can wear on the nerves. I agree with what has been said in this thread already, like magnesium helps calm those nerves, b vitamins play a role too. You can also try taking a muscle relaxer or benzo on the tail end of the trip to get you some rest.
