A little info about my friend to start off. 5'11", 180lbs, average build and all that jazz. Past drug use includes: lsd, weed, mushrooms, dxm, dmt, opana, oxycontin, alcohol, nitrous, heroine. Pretty much anything he can find.
So, before the Bassnectar show on December 30th, he was chillin with my friend at his apartment on the GT campus. He was smoking this dank weed which has him sooooo high after 1 nice bowl (had not smoked in a month). Suddenly, his friend breaks out some acid and he smiles so wide. (acid is his favorite drug of all but he can only find about 2-3 hits every 6 months SADLY ). - No price discussion on bluelight. - It is just blank white blotter but he is pretty excited. It is 7:30pm. and the show starts at 9:00pm, so he takes it then.
8:15: He is feeling one of my favorite parts of acid, that part right before it starts to hit you hard. He always clench my fingers and toes. He tell my friends we better get to the show before we are totally gone, haha.
9:30: He does not remember how we got to the show or how we got in, all he knows is he is sitting down and tripping his face off. His vision is alternating between everything being drawn like a cartoon and everything being sepia toned. This would not be so bad, but the DJ currently on was a tall black woman with lanky limbs. At the time, he thought she was a giant praying mantis.
10:30: He is totally gone by now and have been for awhile. The current act is 3 rappers. They were freaking him out because he thought they were playing the same song over and over again. He kept using the timer on my phone to try and get back into the real time but it was not working. Then he was using the camera function on his phone to try and see what everything really looked like. He finally bit down on his finger to try to come back through pain, but he thought he had bit a chunk out of it and it was bleeding everywhere.
11:30 Bassnectar has been on for a song or two and he is finally reconnecting with the world. The main thing that helped him get through was the fact that he actually was able to recognize songs, while the 2 previous acts were just random artists he had never heard. The familiarity that was Bassnectar really helped him out and saved his mind from being gone forever haha.
Overall, epic trip. He was not fully prepared for the power of the acid, and He wishes he had only done 1 hit. My friend went to the concert again the next night and thoroughly enjoyed it on some quality molly
