LSD and Xanax question

So last night i bought 2 hits of cid, and saved them for school today. This morning I took 2mg of Xanax and right after i put the tab on my tongue and headed to school. All morning I didn't feel much of anything so I decided fuck it, and bought 2 more hits at recess...

I took them and here I am 6 hours later still not feeling anything after taking 4 hits. A friend of mine bought a single hit from the same sheet and he was fucked after he took it. The dealer who is also a good friend of mine told me that taking the Xanax would make it so i was basically wasting the acid...

So I'm wondering am I going to feel anything from this and why exactly did i not feel anything yet.

It might be worth mentioning that last night I had taken around 600mg of Lyrica and 2.5mg of Xanax, and when i woke up i was still very high.
 
Yeah, that's a lot of xanax-- it will heavily mute the effects of LSD. Next time take your acid when you're not abusing so many GABAergics.
 
ugh never take benzos before a trip, i've seen many friends of mine waste trips just for that reason. Save the xanax for the come down, best way to go. And as far as the gaba goes, Last time i tripped on L i took 900mg's of neurontin and the effects were increased if anything....but thats my personal experience/opinion.
 
I wouldn't recommend taking benzo's before tripping either. Of course since I'm using clonazepam daily I have such a tolerance that my normal daily dose of benzo's won't affect my trip, but if you don't have tolerance, only use them in the case of a bad trip.

anyways ive heard to only take a small amounts of benzos prior to tripping to calm the nerves, otherwise it mutes the psychedelic effects

I was gonna post something on that but got lazy. Seriously though, don't trip at school, save it for a better time and place!
 
i haven't had recess since 4th grade. are you in 4th grade?

and this is the kind of stuff you should look up before taking a new substance.
 
ya u dont mix benzos and anything period (besides maybe cannabis). the way benzos and psychedellics affect your mind are basicly polar opposites.
 
ok guys thanks ill be sure to avoid that next time, but if i took around 10-15mg of xanax today, would it have much of an effect if i were to get a few rounds this weekend assuming I don't take any more until then?
 
why on earth are you taking 10-15mg of xanax? that's a lot of xanax.
 
Why the hell would you take LSD before school? Anyways, benzos kill your trip, don't take them before or during a trip, save it for the comedown.
 
I've taken xanax before a trip on a few occasions and all it did was take the edge off.

I'd wager it's because the acid was shit.
 
Sounds like it's a good thing he took those benzos and they killed the trip. Otherwise, he'd have been tripping at school, and that would have sucked...
 
It's just hard to predict, it depends on the totality of set and setting including your physiological constitution, tolerance / resistence and exact doses of LSD and xanax. With xanax you can be quite sure of the dose but with acid it is really hard unless you have a way to get it tested quantitatively.

All that can be said is that xanax and other benzo's attenuate and soften trips, if the trip is weak enough and the benzo effect strong enough that softening becomes equal to preventing or stopping the trip as good as completely, for all intents and purposes.

There is little use trying to predict how much you will or will not trip on the combo unless you know the potency of your LSD and a clear description of the intentions you have for tripping. Maybe then something can be said, for instance I used to take xanax on the far tail end of the trip when I wanted to sleep and had trouble getting to rest laying there still energized from the trip. At some point, even though it's a shame losing afterglow its better to get some sleep and recover some energy... In my country LSD can be tested, when I took 200 micrograms in the early afternoon maybe 1 mg xanax was enough back then. Nowadays I don't know.

Obviously if you want to trip take as little xanax as possible, ideal is nothing at all. If you feel anxious without xanax, then you got something to seriously work on. If you are getting counselling by now I hope you know benzo addiction is not something to laugh about.

Is there any point left to the thread besides speculation?
 
all i know is that at the age i was having recess the odds of me picking up some lucy on the playground were zero i'd check your source haha. but in addition to all this you your killed trip with the benzos. also your setting sucked, its like you did pretty much everything wrong lol.
