my buddy "S" used to do A lot of ecstacy use, scratch that, he still does use quite frequiently.

me and 3 bros decided to trip LSD (including the one listed above) "C" and "S" dropped at midnight, me and "J" dropped at 1 when his dad crashed out. Me, S, and J are all first time trippers, C has tripped multiple times.

"C" and "S" are coming up (45 minutes since drop).
"C" is feeling great. "S" stops coming up completely.
"C" is tripping (2 hours since drop) "S" still has no effects, mild mind-state but that is all.
Me, "J" and "C" are all peaking while "S" sits and smokes weed.

I am confused as to why "S" diddn't trip. bad tab? possibly but this is where I'm confused in it all.

The next day me and "S" went out to make some money. Came back about 2 hours later the next day and we purchased more LSD. "S" bought himself 4 tabs.
"J" and "S" tripped that night. I was amazed to the fact that once again, "S" did not trip and "J" once again infact did trip.

Could "S"s history with ecstacy affect this? he has been a moderately frequent ecstacy user since grade 9 and is now in grade 12. Mind you he HAS taken breaks from pill use. We were on a break from them at the current time we decided to trip, about a month sober from any pills (that I'm aware of, he could have relapsed and not told anybody). what I'm wondering is, from using ecstacy so much, could he have fucked receptors in his brain?

I never heared about ecstasy affecting LSD use in this strange way.

Are you friend "S" on any sort of medication? Antidepressants(SSRIs, like Prozac) can completely diminish effects of psychedelics. Benozodiazepines(wide class of drugs) can prevent tripping as well.

the only medication "S" has been on in the past 6 months is probablly T3's with codeine and Amoxicillin.

The odd thing is "J" takes a regular 300mg dose of Seroquel daily, which is said to prevent/diminish a trip.

A month is not a break from ecstasy, well it is but rather a minimum of time to wait to keep it responsible. I also agree it sounds like a much longer break should be taken. It's absolutely too young to start, so I would take the time to get a good chemical balance again, unless you think depression is something funny to get.

Your mileage may vary is always said about drugs, certainly ones like these. Who knows whats going on. I sure as hell would not continue.

It could be a combination of his medication (I wouldn't be surprised if Opiates diminish the trip somehow) and a chemical imbalance in his brain due to Ecstasy (ab)use. I doubt anyone here really knows though. Tell him to exercise, eat healthy, and lay off the drugs for another month and then try again for summertime <3
