"I became tuned in.... on a network of neurological signals; on a cellular resonance that radiate hundreds of millions of times per second within my body..." - Leary
This quote seems like it well describes the type of acid trip I had a while back. It was a solo trip, and it was one of the most profound experiences of my life (next to salvia). What kicked this trip off was the marijuana I smoked approximately 2 hours into it.
About 2.5 hours after dropping my 2 hits of acid, my ipod ran out of batteries, and the trip began. Usually I use music to guide me through these entheogenic experiences, as it is very soothing, and takes my mind off... well, my mind. But I was pretty much doomed. What happened for a good 4 hours after the music ended is very hard to explain, but I will try my hardest to provide an easily understandable description of this experience.
My thought process began to disintegrate at a rapid rate, and my ego began shattering very quickly (usually what happens with acid, but not to this extent). I began becoming aware of the particles which exist inside inside of my body. What I was beginning to perceive was something like a computer chip, with lights flying around in a square like fashion. Looked something like this. But also it didn't really look anything like that, it was more like a 3d version of that, and less computer like relations.
I was a single point of awareness perceiving this system within my body. I was so in the moment, it was extreme, and quite scary. I would be perceiving one part of this complex maze of particles, and in the next moment my awareness would sort of zoom in and out of this massive universe within my body.
The more I let this go on, the more intense and real it began to be. I would find myself paying no attention to the outside world at all, and be living completely inside of my inner universe, surfing through this infinite computer like maze.. Sometimes I have trips (mostly mushrooms) where my awareness sort of leaves my body, and I become connected more to the outside world, or everything. But this trip was different, it was all internal.
I didn't want this to go on anymore, so I went inside of my house and started charging my damned ipod. The music was back, to save me from this reality I didn't want to explore anymore. From that point on, Amon Tobin rules.
BTW, the whole trip lasted something like 35 hours..
