Hello, as I am a fair newbie to bluelighters, i just thought i'd post my acid expereiance...
My first acid trip was at a greenie (environmentalist) rave called "Stumped". I arrived there, not really in the best of moods, my friends were dropping, and I had never delved into the world of chemicals before, so I was somewhat skeptic as to how my "Crazy Friends" were going to be acting.
I met up with a friend who I had only met just recently, who was a fairly casual drug user. I mean, he smoked alot of pot, and coming from someone who had never seen more than booze and the ole' gange, he seemed to be fairly "Hard Core" in my eyes at least. He seemed a bit down, and I didn't see him for a bit after that.
Meanwhile, my other friends were peaking, and desperatly wanted me to come and dance with them, and I did for a bit, until they left me with the other guy (Brian). I looked at brian for a moment, he seemed to keep lapsing, his concentration not ever on me when I talked to him, always over my shoulder.
I asked him if he was ok, and he said he was fine, but that he was tripping on LSD, and asked if I wanted some. I was initially hesitant, I usually research a new drug on the net before I take it, and I hadn't ever talked to anyone who had done LSD before, so this was slightly uneverting. Eventlially I was overcome by peer-pressure, curiosity and warnings that it was "Now or never", so reluctantly I payed my AUS$25 and was told to wait a minute.
Brian soon returned, holding a small sugarcube, which was half wrapped in foil. I was initially confused, wasnt this ment to be in paper form?
Dont worry, brian told me, just put it under your tounge, and in 1 hour you'll feel it.
Ok I thought, and decided to go and dance for a bit.
Around 40 mins later, I peaked.
I was dancing to techno and shaking my head around when suddenly, everything went into slow motion, and there were brilliant colours, however this only continued as my head was spinning, and when it came back up again, I was fine. The music seemed somewhat different however, and seemed to be dribbling into my ear, it was like someone had taken the music, covered it in oil and poured it into my ears.
I walked over to where my friend was sitting on the carpet. Now the carpet was the softest thing in the world, and its texture was so amazing I still cannot describe it to this day. I rubbed my hands back and forth on that carpet for what seemed an eternity.
Brian came over to me, and saw that I was tripping fairly hard, so he asked me if I wanted to draw anything. I agreed, and he handed me his notebook, and a pencil.
I ended up writing a 6 page report on the universe, and how management is intergrated into it. (dont ask me why, it seemed like a good idea at the time.)
My hands kept writing however, while my mind was free to wander, and wander it did. I pondered many things, my parents, life, school, everything. It was refreshing, and i returned to the pages of writing.
By this time, I could tell that brian was getting slightly fratchety that I had his prized notebook, so I gave it back to him and went and stared at the most amazing display of colours I have ever seen.
There was a man with a soap bubble light projector machine. It was amazing, and cast a huge block of colour onto the wall, which constantly shimmered, moved and swirled around like oil.
After this, I decided to have a lie down on that nice soft carpet, when suddenly one of my friends jumped on me and started massaging my back. I was in heaven, and so was my body. My friend soon left though, and I was just content to lie there and soak up everything.
I tried to move my arms up to get up, but I was so relaxed, that I had another body inside me, like I had to move my "Inside Arm" before my actual body moved. I dont know if anyone else has had this before, but it was very very cool.
With this new found "inner body" I lay there not moving on the outside, but dancing on the inside.
Eventually brian got me up, and told me that we needed to go, becuase the rave was closing up. But how was I going to get home? The $25 was for taxi money, so I decided to walk with brian.
Just before I left, a nice young woman handed me a piece of chalk. I had my pen, and it was mightier than any sword known to man.
We walked home, discussing brians personal life, and why he was down when I first saw him that night.
Along the way, we found a box that control's the traffic lights, (we knew this cause the lights would change as the box went click) however, the box was no longer the light controller, it was the HIVE MIND! We wrote this, in big chalky letters, to warn the simple folk of the "impending danger". "BEWARE : THIS IS THE HIVE MIND"
A Telstra (Australias national telco) phone booth didn't get away unscathed as well " 1,000 souls DIED for TELSTRA'S GREED"
Other companies sign's were also soon to fall before the trippers with chalk.
Eventlually we reached brians house, where he produced some "Brain Candy". We were comign down from this at this time, but I still felt the fringes of the effects. The "Brain Candy" turned out to be picturebooks of amazing photo's of earth.
Eventually, I went home, and went to bed, and slept off the dregs of the trip.
I still do not know how much acid was in the sugarcube, but I enjoyed the trip immensley.
I plan to to acid again, and this time, I hope to achieve the visuals that are reported by so many people. I hope you have enjoyed reading this.
