WOW
I had been searching for the magical LSD or even some psilocybin mushrooms for the past six months and could never get my hands on any. Finally 'cid had come into town, and my friend managed to get me 2 blotters.
I decide I'm going to trip at home (with my mom and sister asleep in adjacent rooms) at around 11 pm on Friday night. I had just gotten off work and dropped it on the car ride home in my excitement. Listening to the Beatles (Revolver) it was the happiest I had been in a while.
After all the experiences I had read on Bluelight and Erowid about LSD I thought I was prepared. But it surpassed my psychedelic expectations ten fold.
So, I was sitting in my room, door locked, listening to a mix of music that would continue to play the whole night (Aphex Twin, Pink Floyd, Beatles, The Shins, The Strokes, DJ Shadow and the Flaming Lips). We had just moved into this house and whoever had my room before must've been a little kid, because I have 2 walls painted blue with about 10 colorful cartoon fish on them, and a huge cartoon seaweed. Very trippy. On the other walls are my posters, Heidi Klum (get into her later), Scarface, Starry Starry Night, and a blacklight Mushroom poster.
I first notice it coming on when I see the fish start to breathe and almost move in a swimming motion, as the whole wall is flexing like ocean waves. I never thought my visuals would be this intense! I went straight to the bathroom and stared amazingly into the mirror for the longest time, contorting my face with my thoughts. Interested to see more, I went into the living room, and the entire room was moving around. I went over to stare at the Cukoo Clock on the wall, and just my luck it struck 12. Just like that, the bird popped out and opened it's mouth and it seemed almost larger than life. Needless to say, it scared the shit out of me.
I went back to my room, and the picture of Heidi Klum was staring at me with this evil grin. It really was frightening. I 'set her straight' though as I later said to myself. I didn't really have any frightening experience, except for the time when my friend asked me if i was 'dreaming' over the phone and i really couldnt decide if i was dreaming or if it was in fact real....i freaked out for about a minute before calming down. That was truly scary.
I was alright though, as long as I kept telling myself I was just tripping. About 3 hours in, as I sat in my room watching my sheets squirm, the ceiling look like billions of wiggling sperm, and my computer desk enlarge and grow small in a breathing motion, I had this epiphany. I quickly called my friend Evan up and told him he NEEDED to come over and drop the other hit with me. I needed someone to experience this with. Looking back, it was a rash decision but in the end it was worth it.
So my friend sneaks over at around 3:30AM and so far my mom is oblivious. He drops it, and I kept trying to explain to him how it was. But then I thought...."It's however you think tripping is, because it is your mind." About 45 minutes later he turned to me with this scared look on his face and said "What's going on?" That's when I knew. Later he told me that he asked that because he saw my face begin to melt and it scared him.
I spent the entire night in my room, and every wall felt like a completely different room. I was laying on my floor watching the ceiling change and all these little detailed sperm i guess you could say kept moving around, spelling out words that I just couldnt decipher. I was listening to the Shins (New SLang) and playing it on guitar. It was louder than I thougth as a knock on the door and a yell from my mom to turn it down interrupted us. It wasn't as scary as I thought it woudl be, an encounter with an authority figure.
The rest of the night was a blur of images. I had never imagined it would be so visual. I got on teh computer and started using the fonts in Word, and typed out 'For the first time in history, the fonts mean exactly how they look.' I typed 'LSD' in different fonts and they all seemed to have different meanings to me. I saved some of what I wrote:
If this is crazy, then I don't want to be sane.
The colors of the apples reflect the mood (this was pertaining to a stillife painting by cezzane or however it is spelled)
Shy? It's gonna be daylight soon? Well I'm not leaving my room, until I feel sane in my braaaain.
"Play somethign that will satisfy my legs" - Evan
I think Evan got lost in the bathroom.
The entire experience was amazing. I even worked out a problem I had with closure of a girl I used to like. I was thinking about her in the beginning of the trip then she said something about me over the phone in the background "What happened to you, Matt?" It really upset me, but then I realized that I LIKE what has happened to me, my experimentation with psychedelics. It really did provide closure.
Overall, the entire thing was the best experience I have ever had. I plan to aquire some more soon for future trips. I recommend an LSD experience to everyone.
