LSA experience

I was curious about the effects of LSA. To anyone who has tried it, how does it compare to LSD? Could you give a description of your experience with this substance?

LSA in Hawaiian Baby Woodrose Seeds have been fairly hit and miss for me, even when using the same number of seeds from the same batch. The experiences have ranged from nauseating and underwhelming to full-blown incredibly visuals trips with fractals etc.

The most obvious difference is that unlike LSD, LSA seeds make you feel sick for the first hour or two until you vomit.

When it produces a full-on trip LSA is more euphoric than LSD in my experience. It is also much less speedy - a more relaxed, mellow sort of feel. Most people report no visuals with HBWR but my strongest trip with them was by far the most visual trip of my life.

LSA can provide amazing trips but its nausea and hit and miss nature mean that it is far less popular than LSD

Regarding HBWR, is the stuff commonly available with a simple google search the stuff you want? I've heard before that there's "good" HBWR actually from Hawaii, and "bad" HBWR grown elsewhere that doesn't really work. Erowid doesn't have much info on LSA at all.

There definitely seems to be a lot of variation in seed potency from what I've read online. They are illegal to import into or export out of Australia so I cant recommend any seeds that you could buy myself.

I've always got them from Queensland in Australia so they don't have to be from Hawaii to be good.

Edit: In the US people seem to be able to get Morning Glory seeds more easily and also seem to have better more visual trips with them so thats another option if you want LSA

I've only had one trip with LSA from morning glory seeds, it made me puke and then I smoked a bowl and had a wonderful trip. It was actually my first psychedelic. I only had about 50 seeds, so it was a +1 at best but I ended up driving (do as I say, not as I do) to a golf course with my brother and friend, and we rode around on the golf cart pissing off the old farts trying to play a relaxing game. I was a little paranoid but it ended up OK. Knowing what I do now (after mushrooms, LSD, 2C-E, 2C-I, 2C-T-7, etc) I would probably have pushed the dose higher and combined with 25-50mg benadryl (diphenhydramine) to combat nausea and definitely would have controlled my set & setting better. But yes, LSA is definitely a powerful psychedelic; however most people find the side effects to be not worth the trip. There are definitely exceptions to the rule in both directions; some people experience debilitiating vasocontriction while others find it just as "clean" on the body as most people find LSD.

I have not had a chance to test the theory that fresher [younger] seeds are more visual and less nauseating; there are recommendations that state instead of consuming the seeds from a gardener's packet, plant them and harvest at the end of summer. One plant will easily produce hundreds of seeds that can be harvested BEFORE they dry and harden into black nuts (they are white and fleshy while fresh). There are also reports that the flowers may be picked before they produce seeds, and steeped into a psychoactive morning glory tea. Just be aware that they require something to climb and will take over an entire garden if given the chance. But the ornamental (heavenly blue, etc) varieties are more showy and less weedy than the white nuisance weed we get here in the Pacific Northwest. I don't know if the weedy variety is psychoactive, but it certainly wouldn't hurt to test. Along with blackberry and ivy, wild white morning glory is one of the most annoying nuisance weeds here in Seattle.

I've never done a cold water extraction but some people say that it works really well and takes away the nausea while others say it doesn't work. Some people also grind the seeds then parachute them.

From memory you need to use twice as many seeds in a CWE as you would just chewing them up and swallowing them. I personally prefer to just chew them up and then vomit about 2 hours in.

I've had lots of experience with the cold water extraction method, and ya it definitely reduces nausea and works well. Eating the seeds is somewhat pointless because the lsa isnt in the shells of the seeds themselves.

As other posters have said, though it feels similar to lsd, its much more of a depressant. It makes you feel heavy with less speedy jaw tension. The experience is much calmer and feels more natural than acid. Its much less potent, and feels more organic.

The visuals ive noticed tend to be more on the side of shapes and images overlaying the visual field, rather than patterning and breathing like lsd. The experience for me is much more related to altered proportions rather than continous morphing. Mixing with some weed or nitrous makes it feel more psychedelic and worthwhile. one last point, LSA gives a couple days of visuals the next few days, more so than even the experience itself.

I wouldn't compare it to LSD, LSD is a completely different animal.

I've never had any psychedelic effects from baby woodrose (12 seeds was the most I ever took) at that dose my body felt warm/hot for 5 or 6 hours. That was about the only effect I noticed.

I would agree that LSA and LSD are not comparable experiences, but I would say that the effects are reminiscent of each other and that they definitely feel chemically related. My past experience with LSA is primarily morning glory seeds at the 200-500 seed dosage. With HWBR ive only gone up to 8 seeds and that was barely threshold. However, I have noticed that the effects of LSA sometimes take many many hours to peak, and it is easy to sleep through the mild effects that occur.

I just wouldn't want anyone thinking "I've had baby woodrose seeds so I know what LSD is like".

LSA is actually a wonderful psychedelic, one of my favourites in fact. I used it a fair amount a couple of years back and I found it to provide the most natural feeling, jovial, psychedelic headspace. Discovering that my friends and I could trip to that intensity from some seeds that we could buy from a DIY store down the road was a revelation.

The headspace is quite dreamy, and there is much synaesthsia, and especially music appreciation and euphoria. The body high is incredible, and visuals are outstanding. Marked colour enhancement, fractals, warping, all the things you would expect from a good psychedelic. It is great for drifting off in to closed eye mindscapes, and the somewhat sedate dreamy quality actually lends itself to that. But it is equally great with eyes open, roaming outdoors experiencing the awesome beatuy of nature.

The visuals, synaesthesia, euphoria, music enhancement, and loving headspace could definitely be compared to LSD, but in my opinion the empathogenesis is even greater on LSA. You can feel that the two compounds share the same ergoloid lineage, in both the body and the mind. LSA has a more lightheaded and relaxed feel, whereas LSD is quite energized and pumped up. LSA has provided me with probably the best afterglows I've ever experienced from a psychedelic, with marked colour enhancement and euphoria persisting for a good few days afterwards. Wonderful stuff.

In terms of intensity, 350-400 morning glory seeds has had me tripping as hard as 5 hits of good LSD, though the potency can vary somewhat. Easily as deep and worthy as LSD, if not more so due to the intense empathogenesis and mellowness.

Good post Survived Abortion, I agree.

If you've never had any psychedelic effects from HBWR then how/why would you say that you wouldnt compare it to LSD? Of course you wouldnt because for whatever reason LSA didn't work for you. I've done LSD many times and 14 HBWR seeds is still the most intense and visual psychedelic experience of my life.

I agree that the empathogen effect from LSA is stronger than with LSD, and have had many powerful experiences with seeds. Still, I have not experienced strong fractal visuals personally from the compound. It may be important to note that different species of seeds have varying levels of LSA alkaloids. I have had visionary experiences with the seeds. Anyone who refused to accept the experiences of others is myopic and can't acknowledge a very basic mantra of this website - "your mileage may vary."

No one here would ever insist that everyone has the capacity to experience fantastic visuals from the seeds, but it is equally dimwitted to insist that no one has that capacity.

LSA is one of my favorite psycadelics. I have experienced a great deal of visual enhancements from the drug, but this has not been as strong of a component of the trip as compared to lsd. I do not deny the experiences of others and hope that the OP may benefit from this substance.

Thanks for all the info. I've had quite a few very strong experiences with LSD, and I think I'll have to try munching on some seeds sometime soon.

LSA is the worst drug next to DXM I've ever tried, they just makes you feel really really sick and poisoned.

Sounds absolutely amazing. I can't wait for my first trip. I will be reporting on my new thread soon enough. I have never tried any hallucinogens before nor have I done anything for two years. I think morning glory will be a great starter for me as I am anxiouse to try anything stronger and also how to get hold of it.
