Alright before I continue I would just like to say that even though the title of this thread says "low dose", which is true (~2g), this was bar none the most intense drug experience of my life. So here it is....
A few weeks ago I had the option to pick up 8g of dry mushrooms and eagerly did so. The original plan was to wait until the end of the week (this was on maybe a wednesday) to trip out with a few friends, but I am an impatient man when it comes to saving drugs, so I of course decided to eat them that very night.
T+:00 I got to my buddy's house and told them my plan for the night, which was to eat 4g. However, they convinced me that these shrooms were pretty strong and that I should just start with 2g and eat the other 2g later if I felt like I needed more, and this is what I did.
T+:30 I was starting to feel the room moving around me and I was having trouble conveying my thoughts to the others so I kind of retreated into myself to enjoy the full effects.
T+:45-1:00 I am starting to realize that this is going to be one hell of a trip- everything in the house, windows, doors, couches, every object is wobbling around like crazy and there are intricate "psychedelic patterns" on every surface around me that I can only describe as continuously changing fractals of some sort.
Now I have lost track of time and am full blown tripping to the max and decide to head outside for a cig with a buddy.
Being outside magnified my already crazy trip probably 5x I would say; I was sitting on the front steps of my friend's house and looking at the house across the street I suddenly realized that the roof of the house was stretching and twisting off to the side (think: molding into the shape of a pig's tail) and it took me a few minutes of looking at it to even realize that it was a house. The trees near me seem to be computer generated and are completely 2D, when I walk under them I can see the pixels and compute code that comprises them.
We decided to take a walk and I am still able to talk to my friend semi-clearly (at least to me), but other than that I have no grasp on what reality is. One way I would describe it is I was unbelievably confused- everything that I saw in front of me was not somewhere I thought I could walk towards but I just kept on keeping on. I recall my friend telling me something like "Yeah J (another friend) took these last week and almost freaked out," and I thought, "What is he talking about? Took what? Ohhh shrooooms! I am on shrooms right now! Does he mean this is never going to end?"
One major difference I noticed throughout this trip compared to any other mushroom trip I have ever been on is the amazing patterns I was seeing on everything- walls, sidewalks, my clothes- everything looked like it was computer generated and had very intricate designs that were moving constantly in very pronounced "routes". I would look at my hands on my knees and watch them melt into my shorts, and if i put my head down for a minute and then looked up I would be completely lost even if I was sitting down
.
Now is where this trip got really fucked up....
At some point during the night, I don't remember when as I have no memory past the cig break, all my friends that were at this house (all drinking) began to pass out I guess and I convinced myself that it was time to get in my car and leave.
So apparently that is what I did, from that point on I only have a few fractured memories which while they were happening I thought they were a dream.
Basically though, my next coherent memory came at about 4:00 a.m., when I found myself sitting on the front steps of a house in a neighborhood that I did not recognize, with my car no where in sight. Also, my glasses were gone causing everything to look a little fuzzy.
Due to my lack of glasses, I convinced myself that I was still stuck in a bad trip and that I just had to wait it out. So in the early morning hours I started wandering around this neighborhood I was in and doing whatever I wanted to since I thought it was all a trip/dream.
I started moving people's lawn furniture from their backyards into the middle of the street. I tried to open every car door and hopped into the bed of every truck I saw. I pushed over potted plants, stole a boombox, scattered newspapers..you get the picture.
Eventually I realized this was reality and started to panic a little. I headed out in search of a major street or anything that I recognized, but I could not figure out where I was. Finally, after about 4 hours of walking god knows how many miles, I made my way to a major highway and got ahold of a friend to come pick me up.
It took me about 2 hours of driving around Minneapolis to find my car but eventually I did- about 5 miles from where I "woke up" and I was overjoyed to find it untouched aside from a huge scrape on the front bumper from hitting that garage.
Everything I thought I knew about mushrooms and their potency was thrown out the window after this trip and from now on I am going to be very careful with my doses and not just think I should down 4g to get a stronger trip than I am used to.
