Low blood pressure, bad head rushes, Xanax question

Hi. I am on day 4 of kicking a 40-50 lortab-a-day habit. I always refused to step up to anything stronger than hydrocodone, so after five years, crazy tolerance. I'm mostly through the woods, all I took to help was clonidine and xanax. Two questions: I have genetically low blood pressure (85/60), and I bet it's more like 70/30 right now. If I stand up, I pass out. It takes me five minutes to go from seated to standing. I read clonidine may lower BP, so maybe that's it. Any thoughts on this? Any ideas on safely raising BP (please don't say excercise, I do that and I'm in great shape until my BP crashes thru the floor 30 mins after I'm done). Second question: I have no urge to take Xanax addictively. I have a bottle of 250 pills sitting there and never take any. I have a bottle of 250 lortab and eat them in three days. What's up with that? Anyone else drawn to opiates and indifferent to tranks? And any thoughts on why? Thanks!
